Passport photos for a newborn

Comment Published at 19:1019:1013 comments13 comments645 Visits645 VisitsReport
Who dreamed up the criteria for passport photos for  a baby. I dare them to try to achieve it.
Try getting a photo of a 16 or 17 day old baby
-looking straight ahead
-eyes open
-mouth closed
-with a neutral expression
-on a white background.
Thank goodness for digital cameras. I don't actually know how many photos we took to get one (well over 100). Here are some of our attempts over a couple of days.

Those pictures are adorable!

I still can't believe that babies have to have passports, its stupid.. I understand for adults, kids and teenagers but babies?? Common, lol!!
We're planning on getting ours but not exactly sure when.. If you live in Canada I know you can get them done for like 11.95 at Walmart, at least at the Walmart I go to anyways!! If you go to one of those passport office's then its alot more money you have to fork out and when people can't afford it, the other place is the best way to go!! Even your Registery office does them, where you get your license!!

I love those pictures of Natalya, she's such a beautiful girl!!
Oh.. I do like your theme for foto friday, but for those of us who don't have passports would we still post up normal pictures?? Just wondering!!

Hope all is well :) Natalya is almost a month old, yay!!

Wow I think that would be hard to do, you got it though, and you get some really good pictures by doing that

Passport photo
aaaah...I remember when I had to make a passport for my 14 weeks old son back in Jakarta. What a shocker!! Lucky that now he has new passport with better photo (taken when he was 4.5 years old).

Do you still have the pictures? Maybe you could post them for fotofriday one day. Hey I should suggest that for a theme for photo friday - passport photos - of members and kids.

Would love to see them. Do you still have them? I am thinking I will suggest 'passport photos' as a theme for fotofriday.

The job goes to you!!!
E was about 6 months when we got hers done, and that was hard enough.  I sure dont envy you the job, although that first one looked real neat.  Has one of them been submitted and accepted by the powers that be?
Peace

Haydon had to fill in a bit of the white in the top corner - instead of the wooden floor. A photo has been submitted, still waiting to see if it meets the grade.

Holy moly!

That is indeed a feat... whoever came up with this most likely haven't experienced a newborn before!

I think the first picture achieved all of the criteria though.

not quite. Haydon had to white out the floor in the top corner. We have submitted it. Will see how we go.

Passport photos....
yes even in Canada you have to have passport photos....

I would like to slap the person who said that a baby can't smile in a photo... LOL It took us about 6 attempts to get the right photo for the picture.....  Looks like the top one is great for a passport....

How cute.... Can't wait to catch up with you

Wow.
Here in Canada, I don't think you have to have a passport photo for an infant.  Those photos are sweet, though.  Worth the effort?
