We just went for a bushwalk

We moved to Collie for a better quality of life. The shire is 80% state forrest so lots of lovely places to walk, picnic, ride bikes etc. Unfortunately we have been very busy since we got here (and with the pregnancy I haven't always felt up to it). We have been on a few walks etc but not many. Anyway this morning I suggested to Haydon that we take the dogs and go down to Mininup pool and go for a bush walk. It was really lovely and the dogs loved it. So did we! Some of the wildflowers are out so it is really pretty.

Haydon is on an afternoon shift so he has just left for work now but tomorrow he starts at 3pm. If the weather is still nice we have agreed to go to Harris River Dam for a bbq with the dogs at lunch time. I am really looking forward to it.

I am trying to follow Flylady's suggestions on getting organised and cleaning the house. This morning I swished and swiped (give the toilet and bathroom handbasin a quick wipe over before hopping in the shower) actually given the state of my bathroom it was more of a scrub and wipe. I have still got to unload the dishwasher but I really wanted to go for the bushwalk so that had to wait. Wish me luck, - this house cleaning and organisation thing is something I have never really got a handle on. I would really love to be organised in the house (and the rest of my life) so I hope this Flylady thing works for me. Haydon is being really supportive which is great. He works full time and does so much work in the yard etc that I really want to learn to keep the house clean and de clutter it.

bushwalking....
I'll try to keep my blog updated with my progress on the house cleaning front. Who knows maybe at the age of 37 I will finally get it together. I sure hope so for my sake as well as my family's. It is a skill I would love to be able to pass on to my child. I am 3rd generation cluttered, disorganised house keeper (my grandmother was an orphan so I don't know how far back it really goes!).

bushwalking....

Yes I believe it is hereditary (how ever you spell that.. IT is past 1am, and the spelling part of my brain has gone to bed....) I think they call it the clutter gene.. Have not found a cure for it as yet.. Still looking...

My parents house is somewhat neat but very cluttered with bits and peices.... Family stuff , there is not one bit of wall to be seen though all the paintings and pictures... There shelves are full of little nick nacks.. And I am sure I would be the same if I had my stuff here.. I am from Australia but am living in Canada so half my stuff is back sitting in my mums shed... :) I think my hubby will get a shock when he sees my parents place and I am sure he will be greatful that I am unable to get a lot of my stuff here... :)
