Reasons for choosing not to breastfeed

Comment Published at 03:4603:461 comments1 comments130 Visits130 VisitsReport
I just found this site "Advantages of formula". The author has taken many of the common reasons women give for CHOOSING not to breastfeed and provided responses to them. I found it an interesting read. What do you think?

Re: Reasons for choosing not to breastfeed

That was awesome! I particularly liked the one about the mother's mother saying to put the baby on formula because she can't afford the nappies as bf babies go through more nappies PMSL at that comment! Mine went through lots of wet nappies, but we have one at daycare now in cloth and she's a formula fed baby, 7 months old, having a nappy change every 30 minutes, sometimes more, sometimes we'll change her then 5 minutes later she'll poop or she'll wet again and need another change.  And yeah, what about the cost of the formula lol!!!

Also liked the one about dad wants to be involved.  Every couple I know who have bf babies the dad goes to work all day, he then comes home and gives them a bath while Mum cooks, then they all sit down together, dad then has story time with them while mum cleans up then mum feeds them to sleep.  That happens with all of them and on weekends the mum can give a feed, dad can take them out or mum can go out and leave dad home for at least 2 hours before the next feed time.  Excuses don't wash with me.  3% of women cannot bf for medical reasons.  Just 3%.
