Passport photos for a newborn

Who dreamed up the criteria for passport photos for  a baby. I dare them to try to achieve it.
Try getting a photo of a 16 or 17 day old baby
-looking straight ahead
-eyes open
-mouth closed
-with a neutral expression
-on a white background.
Thank goodness for digital cameras. I don't actually know how many photos we took to get one (well over 100). Here are some of our attempts over a couple of days.

How do they know?

When I have time to answer the phone or the door bell no one rings or calls but as soon as I am busy...

Can anyone tell me why it is that the phone is quiet until...
  • I am in the middle of cooking dinner
  • I am   eating  my dinner
  • I am feeding the baby
  • I am having a nap
  • I am at the toilet
  • I am trying to eat my dinner while feeding baby?

How do people time it so that when I am feeding baby the phone rings and someone rings the door bell 5 seconds later?

Is there a secret camera at my place?

What is happening to me????????????

by MumKimComment Published at 22:2722:2710 comments10 comments94 Visits94 VisitsReport
I just found myself ironing nappies!
me - Iron!
Haydon and I had been together for about 6 months when he asked me if I actually owned an iron. Not that I wear wrinkled clothes - I buy non iron stuff put it through on a slow spin and hang it on coat hangers on the line to avoid needing to iron.
I am rather domestically challenged and figure life is too short to spend ironing so I avoid it whenever possible.
Today I needed to get the nappies dry so I had to resort to ironing them.
Haydon has been complaining that he was really looking forward to me getting the 'nesting instinct' during my pregnancy but it never happened. Ripped off! Maybe the sight of me ironing nappies will help ease the pain.
