Been a busy week, well busy last few months.

My little boy is not so little anymore, started school and is doing well. Wants me to read every book he can get his hands on!!

Last year my mom came over from England on a suprise visit. Then my dad my contact at Christmas. I have not heard from either of them for over 6 years. They were still together when I left the uk, 5 years ago but now they are divorced and both have new partners. My mom is engaged. They both seem very happy with there new lives and are eager to get to know Nathan. My mom has decided that she wants to retire out here as once my grandad passes away she will have no family left in the Uk.  I speak to her most days now. We dont speak about the past just what is happening now. I think that is probably for the best. My dad calls me once a month to see how things are going and he will be out to visit this year at christmas. It will be good to see him again and it will be the first time Nathan has met him.

Anyways, ive finally got a quiet day with nothing much to do. So im going to have a look through some craft books and see what projects I can find. Might even catch up on a bit of reading.

Well the big day is here!

All the presents have all been opened, we are doing our family thing today before doing the extended family thing tomorrow.

The kids are playing with there new toys, so im taking some time out to write this.

Trouble is i dont really have anything to say. Feeling a bit brain dead. so for now i will wish you all a very merry christmas and hope that santa was kind to you

Christmas Eve............. nearly another year gone. Boy does time fly lol

Not got much planned for today. Had a couple of big days so I suppose we will just be winding down at home. All that could change in the space of a few minutes though as it often does!!

Nathans really excited about santa now. It is the first year when he can fully understand what it is all about and boy does he know it!!

Keeps telling everyone that he is going to get up and talk to santa! so we have told him that santa is really fast and that he will be gone before nathan gets to speak to him. We have always told him that santa delivers the presents to mummy and daddy to give him as we have cats and there would not be anything left of the presents by the time nathan got to them!! nathan totally accepted that. Last year he even saw one of his presents when i forgot i had left it out. He went in our shower and when he came out he asked if he could play with it. I acted like i had no idea what he was talking about and he didnt ask about it again. We gave it him for christmas and we still got the wow factor!!

Better go see what everyone else is doing as it has gone very quiet.

Well finally the weekend. Had a few friends over last night and had a few drinks. It was nice, sat outside til god knows what hour!!

Going to a BBQ today, that should be good. Catching up with a few more friends who we have not seen for a while. Im sure Nathan will enjoy himself.

Just finished cleaning up a bit, all ready for christmas now!!
