Trick or Treat

Comment Published at 23:2523:252 comments2 comments110 Visits110 VisitsReport

I'm taking my kids out for Trick or Treat tonight with some kids from my sons kindy. As we don't normally celebrate Halloween in Australia it has been organised with some people that the kids can go knocking at their house but we have already supplied the lollies to these houses for the kids.I don't know how my two yr old is going to go as Alicia put on a mask today and it scared him and he hid under the table until she took the mask off.Anyway I think the kids will enjoy getting the lollies if nothing else.

For those who celebrate enjoy your Halloween.

LOL happy halloween

I also sent my children out for halloween, and they loved it, my neice went with them as chaperone (which she also loved)  The children loved it untilk their second last house where they were unfontunatly growled at by a man, as halloween is "AMERICAN". Well I guess christmas didnt start in australia but we still (a lot of people) celebrate it??!!!

I have to say as a child my sister and I always wanted to do it, but back then it was unheard of, I think it is all good fun.

Altough I dont approve of young kids knocking on my door in the evening without an adult......

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE

Great planning

I think it is terrific that you have pre-arranged where they are going. As we in Australia are not used to halloween it is hard to know if kids are going to come trick of treating or not. I have been caught out in the past, not expecting people to follow this American tradition.

I am living in a new town this year and do not know if we will have kids at the door or not. I have bought some mini kit-kat bars -(properly sealed individual serves) just in case. There is 13 in the packet but my husband thought we should buy some extra lollies just in case we run out. I don't think it likely - he/we will probably end up eating the lollies and most of the kit-kats.

Hope it all goes well and the kids have fun.
