well still no sleep and no relief for Myah with her teething. Brendan came home from work tonight and helped me force her to look in her mouth to see what was going on. Sounds cruel i know but i had to know for sure that it was her teeth and nothing else that was causing all her discomfort. She has the redest gums,swollen,and seems to look like 4 different teeth just under the surface ready to break through. They say this is the worst time when they are cutting through, not when they have cut through, right???? I couldnt imagine her going through worse teething than this. She isnt eating, not wanting a cuddle then wanting a cuddle, not wanting to sleep but is so tired she needs to sleep, not wanting her cot but wanting my bed, then getting into my bed and then wanting her cot ARGHHHHHH..........im sure you get the point now. I guess im showing that im not handling her going through all this needless to say me going through it with her. Brendan was suppose to have 4 days off from tomorrow but has just informed me he has to go into work in the morning pretty early for most of the morning.,pretty sucky huh... Was looking forward to just having a break from all the crying and seeing her so unsettled. Well the good thing is she has fallen asleep after nearly 2 hrs of going into her trying to settle her........Im hoping these rotten teeth will be through within a day or 2 to give her some peace and to bring her back to being the happiest baby ever......my poor little baby girl

Tomorrow is another day and it will be a brighter day!!!! Im sure of it...........cant beleive i am going on about teething!! so many other people have so much worse happening....i feel so selfish but its just lack of sleep and not seeing her smile that has got me so down and out...i'll be better tomorrow......

I used to give them ice blocks. The cold would help to numb the gums. Really hope her teeth hurry up and come thru! Try to rest whenever ya can.

Oh bless her do you have a teething dummy they are brilliant my daughter has a few she loves them . Its really upsetting and stressing when they are constantly screaming my daughter has just had a tooth cut through and she was absolutly terrible it was horrible . Get somw medised if they do that where you are it will help hre to sleep and try and get her to eat rusks thats all o could get my daughter to eat. Hope she is feeling beter soon and that that tooth hurries up adn comes through poor little thing . I hope you get some rest soon.

no i havent heard of a teething dummy???? sounds great!!! they can chew it??she has been crying so much,i have never had her cry as much as this before. she is always such a happy little baby girl. how old is ur little girl??? did it take long for her teeth to come through?? i thought it was like 2 days but it has been 4 days now that she has been this grumpy....man i can only take so much,she has already started her moods,im in for it big time when she is a teen!!! lol.....

thanks cazza, i havent tried the rusk in the freezer!!! i will give it a go,its worth a try for sure.....i did give her Nurofen last night for the first time and guess what!! she slept for 4 hrs straight!!!! lol....she woke and i put her pipey ( dummy ) back in and she slept for another hr......

Oh poor little thing. At times like this bonjella and panadol are your friend. Oh and I would wet a facewasher and put it in the freezer and let my boy suck/bite it. Worked a charm because it is a lot softer than teething rings which he didn't seem to like.

hey, i have tried bonjella and the panadol, the panadol worked for a little while but not in the last 2 days,bonjella didnt work at all. I did get this stuff called sm 33 like bonjella but stronger but i cant even get her to open her mouth for me to see if that would help....i have tried the face washer and even spoons in the freezer as someone else suggested....no go...thank u so much for the suggestions tho,i am willing to give anything a go!!!

Oh Na, if she is in that much pain maybe a trip to the doctor. It might be tonsilitis or something else. Teething pain is normal but when panadol and bonjella don't work and cold relief doesn't work it might be something else as well as teething.

I've been wondering how you were going... poor little tacker and really poor you. I've got my fingers tightly crossed that those blessed teeth break through the gums and ease her pain (and yours too). Wish there was more I could say or do... Thinking of the both you and fingers are now crossed!!!!!

i was hoping that these damn teeth would have broken through over night....no such luck....she has been cranky all day!!

im so glad its only a small part of her life time that she will go through this...

The poor little thing.........teething is horrible!!!! Just before they cut through is definately when it hurts the most, once the gum is cut it doesn't hurt. I hope she settles soon.

Poor little mite, it really is a tough time and so frustrating when you have to see them going through pain like that... Don't forget to check out the advice and old Q&A, there are heaps of tips and ideas for teething. I foudn distraction was one of the best things - best wishes, I hope she feels better soon xox

yer it is a tough time, out of the 4 kids i havent had any of them suffer like this. I've tried some of the things suggested but maybe not all. I need to read some more of it......I did give her baby Nurofen tonight as suggested and i think that has helped her settle for a sleep. Other natural products,panadol ect hasnt worked.....thanks for ur wishes
