What an hero your son Ben is....good on you Ben. This had to be an horrid ordeal for you...could not imagine how that feeling of not being able to breathe...felt like...sincerely hope you never experience it again.

I'm sure you could take this further especially hoe dangerously close this ordeal was ( just think what would have happened if you had been on your own, scary  thought).....I would be taking photo's of the containers...the piece of plastic and of you.....write down time & date....just in case you need .

That would of been terrifying. A friend of mine had  simular experience and was asked to send it in. So without thinking they did and nothing came of it. When he called them up they refused to do anything saying where is the proof. So keep hold of it and maybe speak to a lawyer or the police or something because they will be able to tell you what avenue is best.

wow I am glad you are ok. I agree you need to call DoFT and make a report. This may happen again and next time it might end differently, especially when you think of how many parents just give their child a happy meal box or whatever in the back of the car. This should be investigated more thoroughly.

Gosh, that is scary.  Who did you get your food through?  I'd not be at all surprise if you said KFC, because I used to work for them, and they were pretty lazy when it came to safety practices.

Glad you are ok now though.  Must have been quite a fright all round, You have a very quick thinking son there and he did the right thing to help you.

I see further down that Winnie is talking about their Trading Standards place in the Uk, in Australia, we have the Department Of Fair Trading that deal with things like this.  And if it is a major fast food chain like McDonald's or KFC, then they love giving them a rap over the knuckles.  Ok, was going to give you a link to them, but don't know what state you are in, so will give the link to my google search instead.  DFTGoogleSearch

Omg Thank god your son was there for you.. I would personally ring your local council tomorrow and speak to a officer through them and have them go through that place like a fine tooth comb, as how many other patrons has this may have happened...

You allowed to be emotional and bet your son is saying mum stop making a fuss, but it is a huge thing, bet he was scared as well...

Oh crumbs, now that is scarey. Well done to your wonderful boy for his quick thinking. Do you have "Trading Standars" we have Trading Standards Service in the UK, so if something like this occurs, then we are encouraged to report it, so they can investigate the business for health, safety, and hygeine. Glad you are safe and sound, you so deserve an explanation as to how this could have happend and what they are going to do.Best Wishes.

OMG Naomi.......how scary!!!!  I'm so glad you're okay though, well done to your son for acting so quickly.

I would wait and see what the manager has to say first. I would also contact head office and let them know as I'm sure the manager will try to keep it quiet. Other than that I don't know what I would do.
