I cant beleive it!! I blogged a while ago about finding an Abby Cadabby bed from spotlight for Myah to sleep in as soon as i thought she was ready. She hasnt been sleeping well at all in her cot so this morning i thought i would take advantage of having Brendan home for the day and get him to go and pick it up from layby. After running around for a mattress, doona, pillow and mattress protector we came home and Brendan spent over 2 hrs trying to put this bed together. After alot of swearing and cursing from him we got the bed together and placed it in the bedroom and took her cot out. I had a matching doona cover and pillow case for her with abby printed on it, so i prepared the bed for her to be surprised with. It looked so pretty and snuggly....SHE LOVED IT!!!! She was so excited, pulled the doona up on her and giggled. Thought it was the best thing we had done!!

Ok, bedtime came.......and then bedtime went..............SHE HATED HER NEW BED!!!!!!!!! I tried and tried!!!! She would scream everytime i put her in there and go to walk off. I didnt know what to do. She kept pointing out of the bedroom towards the door to her cot. I felt so bad for her, i wanted to just get her cot back into the room for her. Brendan was " NO, she will learn, its just all new." I saw his point so i kept going with it for the next half hr. After her non stop crying she looked up at me with the saddest face still pointing at the door then VOMITTED everywhere!!! All over her new pillow, doona, abby doll, and herself!!! Ohhhh and me......we had no choice but to give her back her cot. I feel so down now, thought that she was ready. She tries to climb out of her cot and doesnt sleep so i thought this bed would be a good change.

She is in her cot now, still not asleep after being in there for over an hr......and here in the lounge room is her bed frame...

Did anyone else have this happen??? Is it too early??? I really thought she was ready..........i better go and put some more spewy washing in the machine......

i was sitting here chatting on my laptop when all of a sudden i heard a huge explosion!!! Brendan and i looked at each other and he ran out the back and yelled to me " na the neighbours house is on fire!!! " OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I grabbed the phone and raced out the back to see how true this was. The lady's car was up in flames and glass smashing!!! She came running out the back of her house screaming and grabbed the hose not listening to anyone and tried to put the fire out, meanwhile im ringing 000 for the fire dep to come quickly. This fire got totally out of hand, it spread so quickly up the carport and under the eves of the house into the roof. All i could hear  was the crackling of the fire and this poor poor womans screams and cries. We kept yelling to her to get out and she wouldnt. We couldnt get over the fence to help as there were things against her fence that brendan couldnt get over. She was pulled out of the yard by people that  were next door, we live below her. The fire truck turned up and not much of the house could be saved. The truck was there till 4am this morning so it was one long night.

That poor woman, where was she going to stay tonight???? I thank god that i havent gone through this and hope i never do. Her life went up in smoke. How sad is this??? We went past the house this morning and its a mess. Not too sure on how true this is but the fire started from the car ( this we do know as we saw it) and she had her car fixed by a mechanic yesterday and something that he replaced on it was faulty and shorted out which cause a fire then the petrol tank exploded. All from getting your car fix????!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been thinking of how i heard this woman cry all day.............so sad.......

On another note im a little better today and Myah still is showing she isnt well. NOt eating and not sleeping,think teeth are still invovled here.....damn teeth.............

Anyways...thank you to all those wishing myah and i well.....love u all....words can be comforting alot of the time...

Im a bad sick person. I cant handle being sick, it stresses me so much. Makes me feel so down and sad. Myah still isnt well, has taken me nearly 2 hrs to get her asleep tonight. She hasn't wanted a drink of mamma BF for 3 days now as she cant breathe through her nose. Not sure how im feeling about this as she doesnt eat much at all so she doesnt have anything to fall back on. Im thinking too much here..........

Anyways,just a quick blog as i was bored and wanted to see how everyone else is...hope your all well....   :( :( :(

last week while myah was sick i said i wanted to take her sickness from her. Well i have it,my poor poor little girl,now i know why we had over a week with no sleep and her not eating. Maybe all the sleepless nights have allowed my body to let this germ in?? I had a big party for tyrone last night and all the boys were really well behaved but myah decided to play up all night,then bang,this morning i woken up at 5am with a snotty nose and a huge thumping head. Got up to get a drink and panadol and couldnt sleep for the rest of the morning. Myah was up at 6.30am and the fire had gone out in the lounge room, so this sick, snotty nosed bunny had to go out in the cold to fetch the wood and get that damn fire going! Seemed forever before i saw some nice hot coals.....well after that i started to give myah her weetbix after her nice warm milo and all over my nice new woolen floor mat she decided to vomit!!! ARGHHHHH......what a morning, what a day, full on cleaning after the party and now tyrones girlfriend is coming for dinner!!!! Does it ever stop for us mothers??????????????? I know the answer to that, NO!! LOL................ok that was my first lol,,,it was fake too.....

gotto go start cooking this damn chicken,wish it cooked by itself........ohh i feel yuk.......i hope everyone who has been sick is now better and those who are not sick stay inside!!!

Poor Myah, her Abby Cadabby Doll, that she has only had for a week and a half broke. Yesterday we came home from the supermarket with abby cadabby and as myah went to make her say her phrases she wouldnt work. I told her that mummy would save the day and fix her, but mummy couldnt save the day could she . Abby was broken, not just flat batteries but her switch inside her hand wasnt clicking. Myah sleeps with abby and since she has been so sick this last week abby has been her best friend. Took it back to Kmart and they didnt have any left so i had to ring around,yes ME, to find one. I found one nearly an hr away from me and asked Kmart if they could get it up to here for me and the woman who mind you was very rude said no!!! Told me if i want it i will have to make the trip myself as they couldnt do that with this item!!!

OMG the things we do for our kids!! So Myah and i packed up in the pouring rain and took off to go and get Abby. I couldnt let her down. When i was waiting at the desk after our long trip,a lady came up looking at Myah who was asleep in her pram and commented on how beautiful she was. Followed by " whats her name? " I told her and she was like " ohh how beautiful!!" She seemed nice and went to spark a conversation with me. After a few questions she asked for Myah's middle name,when i replied she gasped and started to raise her voice at me saying how horrible her name was!!!! OMG HOW RUDE WAS SHE!!!!!!!!!! 2 rude women in one day!! how lucky am i??? LOL.....  Said her name was too long and i was a bad mother to call a child with such a name!!! I was gob smacked!!! I didnt know what to say!! I said in a very calm and stern voice and quiet loud," WELL I LOVE HER NAME AND YOUR BEING VERY RUDE!" i then grabbed  Myah's new Abby doll and stormed off.

Soooooooooooooo, was my trip worth it you ask?? YESSSS it was ,LOL, Myah is sound asleep cuddling her Abby doll and she has been in the most happiest mood i have seen her in for over a week!!! She even ate her dinner!!!! We also bought some new stamps and some new crayons to use in her SCRAPBOOK that we have been doing ( you can read my new article on this if you like ) let me know what you think of it!!

Shezzz some people can be rude cant they??? Any ways, my weekend has turned out to be a nice one after Ben and Ty won their footy game and are now in the finals and now Myah has her very much loved abby doll back!!!

well i am happy today,first day i have been happy for 5 days now. Myah has been a very sick little girl. She has  very little for 5 days, had a big temp of 39c, hadnt slept for more than 40mins at a time or slept in her cot.....so sad to see her cry so much and not once smile. Her fever has now broken and for the first time for 5 days,i saw her smile and heard her laugh this morning!!! I am so releived that she is now on the mend. Still not %100 but a huge improvement!!

Thank you to those of you who have asked how she is....its really nice to know that you care....it so helps me through those hard nights knowing i can come to minti and have my wonderful minti friends ask how she is out of concern....

Today 16 yrs ago i brought into the world my 2nd son Tyrone. I cant believe how quick the time has flown!! I was a young mum living away from family but i had my hubby Brendan and my son Ben who was 17mths old. It was a very hard pregnancy and a hard birth with a very big surprise when he was born. You see we were told he was a girl through 3 ultra sounds!!!!! So we had girl names and girl clothes at the hospital and when he was born and i saw he had an extra package down low i cried and cried........it only took 10 mins for me to look at how beautiful this little boy was and had an instant bond with him. He has been such a happy fun loving boy and i just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little fella!!!!!!!!!!!

and i love you with all my heart.......................

I know i have already posted a blog but i just recieved the best news from my near 18 yr old son. He went for an apprenticeship at the City Council here as a machinist / fitter and he has been told today that he was successful in being offered the job!!! I cant beleive it,he has been working so hard this yr in a pretty hard job fulltime to earn himself some money to buy a great car while still at home. He didnt want to sit at home on his butt waiting for an apprentice job to come up,as they are so rare. I AM SO DAMN PROUD!!!!!!!! He goes in for a medical on thursday and finds out his starting date. What a great opportunity in life!!!

Benny,i know you wont ever read this as your not really a Minti fan, LOL , but son, im so proud of who you are and what you have done for yourself in your life. Just remember that dad and i love you so much......you have defantly given us alot of challanges through your teen yrs but its all been worth it...

Ohhh am i the favorite at the moment!!! We went to spotlight this morning and what did we come across?????? AN ABBY CADABBY BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhh was Myah over the top!!!! There was an Elmo one set up and she was climbing all over it and looking oh so cute on it. We ummmed and arhhhed over the Elmo bed but it was a little boyish,so we thought we would walk around the store and think about it.As we got further up what did we find??? ABBY!!!!! Oh Myah was so so excited!!! We also found a really cute little round pillow and a doona cover to go with it. Just in time as we feel Myah will be needing a bed pretty soon. So we put it on layby and we were told it was the last one left. I feel so happy that i have found THE bed for Myah to go into for when she is ready. As we went around the store she was pointing at  the bed that daddy was carrying telling everyone that was going past her. So many people stopped to talk to her and listened to her little jibber she was telling them with so much expression and excitment!! I have to get a picture of it and post it!! LOL

She is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!
