Well the big day is here.  The day when the critter decides whether or not it's going to be 6 more weeks or winter or an early spring.  Personally I think it's a lot of hooey.  All this fuss over a rodent.  Whatever way you look at it the first day of sring is going to come around the middle of March.  It always does.  In fact, I'm pretty sure they have a name for it.  What would that be again?

Wow, time flies!  Already the end of January.  It's been so long.  I am on again with my weight loss program but so incredibly lazy these days.  I need to exercise, so I jumped back into it this morning.  I really would rather sleep though.

Joycelyn is growing like crazy.  I put her into a daycare style program with the City on Saturday mornings and she really seems to like it.  Plus it gives me an hour or so to catch up on my reading.  Something I have precious little time to do these days.

I cannot beleive that my baby is going to be three in April.  She sometimes seems so much older than that to me.  Her vocabulary is great and someone suggested that we start teaching her to read.  I do think she still may be a little young but she has a great grasp on letters and numbers.

Still going no where on the potty training.  She is just not ready, and despite the fact that I am finding it increasingly frustrating, I find myself biting my tongue more and more often these days. 

So what if my kid is the only one in diapers at her high school graduation. 

but hey!  Who am I to point a finger?  Seems like time is flying and Christmas is almost upon us.  I have to admit that I am a little more excited this year than most.  My aunt and uncle who I have not seen in 15 years are coming from England to Canada to spend the holiday with us.  They haven't met Joycelyn yet so I imagine this is will a great treat for them also.  It really helps remind me what Christmas is all about.  Family, and being home for the holiday's.  This will be Joycelyn's third Christmas, and I am really looking forward to sharing a lot of family traditions and starting some new ones with her.

My car.  AGAIN.  it's 10 years old and lately has been nothing but problems.  AND $$$ out the door.  I feel like I am always paying and it's putting me in the hole.  I know I need to consider a new car but I simply cannot afford one.  I feel like I am drowning some days.  2 weeks ago I put a rew rad in and that was almost $700 and then the month before that it was a $900.00 for a fuel pump, and the month before that it was another $200.00 for an engine injector flush, and then in May it wa another $900.00 for the AC/Compressor.

$2700.00 over 6 months.  UGH!
