So I decided to send a letter of complaint regarding the Ambulance man stupid comment]
Here is the letter I sent : Dear Sirs
I am well aware that you have probably heard about me
through my ex husband ................., please do not let
this influence your reaction to this email. There are
two sides to every story and one day mine may be heard
too.
However yesterday my youngest son was in a Football
tournament held at .............................................. As
it has been 6 weeks since he has heard
anything from his dad he naturally went up to the
Ambulance at the end of the event to see if his dad
was there, his dad was not on duty but Daniel (my son)
vaguely knew the members so spoke to them. the male
volunteer asked Daniel how he got on in the
competition, Daniel told him he came 4th after losing
in the semi final, the Volunteer then "jokingly"
answered according to Daniel with the phrase that
Daniel was a Failure and a disgrace to his Father
!!!!!!
I am apalled by this as Daniel has severe emotional
problems linked with his ADHD, he has an incredibly
low self esteem, I spent a large portion of last
evening then reassuring a very disturbed 10 year old
child that he was not a Failure he was not a disgrace
to his Father and this is certainly NOT why he hasnt
heard from his dad, and definitely NOT why Daniel
feels his dad does not love him.
Whilst I appreciate the member concerned may feel he
was having a joke. This "joke" backfired completely on
a confused and hurting young boy who already head
butts walls as he feels if his dad cannot love him, he
MUST be a failure.
i found this comment whether in fun or not to be
totally inappropriate.
I have sent a copy of this email to my solicitor
