We've had a great day today as we went to the Farnborough Air Show
It was my brother and one of his mates, Thomas, Daniel and I.
It was fantastic, on the way in the car, we were teasing the boys about how loud the planes would be especially some of the jets, also how in the past the noise was so astronomically loud you could feel the sound vibrations through your feet.
As the Euro fighter went into one of the vertical ascents, Daniel looked at me with his fingers in his ears, with the words "You're right Mum, the sound is coming up through my feet !!!!" Sure enough the vibrations were actually making it feel like we were having a minor earth tremor.
The first plane to do a display was the Airbus A380, this was incredible as it has to be one of the hugest planes I have ever been up to, yet it flew so gracefully, it was even capable of slow speed, watching the plane you were almost scared that the plane would just drop to the ground as the speed couldn't keep it in the air but no it was an awesome display
We then moved into several of the "Jets" such as the Eurofighter, the Falcon, and the Fighting Hornet. I would love to show you some of the fantastic photos I took of these jets doing their awesome dives and stunts, however, everytime I thought I had a great shot, by the time I clicked the shutter.......I was left with a picture of a blank sky
the same happened with the pictures I took of the Parachutists LOL Although I have to say how anyone could tumble out of a plane high in the sky in the first place let alone land on the exact spot they are aiming for is totally beyond my comprehension !!!!!!!
There were some great displays by various helicopters including the Apache and the Black Cats Naval Helicopter Display team. The timing is exceptional on some of these displays.
The best part of the day for us was the enormous Avro Vulcan, a huge yet beautiful but NOISY Jet
We also had acrobatic displays from both The Blades and of course The Red Arrows.
We had a fantastic day

. You all look wonderful my friend and that to me is fantastic. Oh, the airshow looks great too hehe.... So glad that you all enjoyed yourselves.
