My husband and I have been married for 18 years. We have three wonderful boys aged 18, 17 and 8. They drive us insane, but give us some of the best experiences of our lives.
David is finished school and is now a furniture removalist. He is my daredevil. Loves to BMX and his car, and be very stupid with his mates. He does have a sensible head on his shoulders tho.
Alex is in Year 11. He is my reader. Would have his head buried in a book from dawn to dusk if he was able. Drives me insane sometimes, especially when he has to do something around the house.
My baby Connor is in Year 3. Not that he is a baby any more. They grow up so fast. He is my sportsman. He has a motor mouth, which runs as much and as fast as his legs keep doing. He is adorable.
works at a Childcare Centre near home, as the Cook . The work is great, I just love it.
works full time in Manufacturing, which is good as he is home every night. He used to own his own business and be away travelling for nights or weeks on end.

I got to work this morning to see 3 rather large boxes in the foyer. MY FRIDGES AND FREEZER HAD ARRIVED!!!! I rang Harvey Norman on Monday, to find out what the hold up was with them. They told me they were waiting on the Microwave to come in. Hello, I need my fridges. So I told her not to wait on it, we would get it when it came in. She then told me that she would organise delivery for Tuesday morning. By 2pm yesterday I was back on the phoen to find out where they were as they had not been delivered.
She informed me they went out. So when I got to work, there they were. So in between preparing morning tea and lunches, I managed to unpack them. By the time this was done and afternoon tea prepared, it was time to go and get Connor from school, and I also had to pick Davids mate up as well.
All the kids in the centre were going to have fun this afternoon - fridge boxes to play in!! Tunnels and houses etc were to be made. Good for the afternoon seeing as it has been raining all day and they can't go outside.
Went out to the car, got in and nothing. Not even a click. Bugger. This has to be # 3 in the car saga. Apparently I had left the lights on...the battery doesn't like that for some reason. And the stupid thing was I checked the lights as I got out this morning and for some reason assumed up was off. Don't know why. Rang RACQ, to find out that my husband has let the membership renewal lapse, and we are not covered.
So as one of the other girls was leaving I asked if I could use her car to jump start mine. No problems, got to the school (had rung Dave to go down and meet him at his school and to wait for me), picked up Connor, drove to get Nathan, waited while he got himself organised with stuff he needed for tonight, and went back down to the day care so that the two boys could finish moving the fridges in for me and removing my old one that is getting dumped. Dave had ridden his bike straight down there.
Finally got home, and will put the battery charger on overnight, so that I don't have that problem again.
So all in all an eventful day. |

I have been looking at laser printers now for a while. I wanted one for school assignments etc as they just look nicer when presented in that print. More professional. So I was at Officeworks last week, picking up some more ink for my injet printer. I just did my usual look around at prices for lasers. I only wanted a mono one, but if the price was right I would get a colour one.
And there it was. $129, mono laser printer. AND A BONUS 500GB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE!!! Now my eldest has been at me for ages to buy him an external drive for his computer, so that he can put all his music onto it. He has borrowed mine countless times for school as he is part of the sound and lighting crew and they use the music for our dances etc. But mine is not compatible with a MAC, and his friend has a heap of stuff he wants but he can't get it. The new one is compatible. The only thing I will have to deal with, is his will be bigger than mine. Mine is only a 320Gb.
Oh well he is happy, he will have a hard drive. I am happy I have my laser printer. And I printed the menus out for work this week, and it is so super fast! I love it.
Take Care.

You know how things come in three's? Well it started last week. A friend of mine was coming in to work for a visit and to give me a hand. As I had to quickly duck home with Dave and his mate (they were doing some odd jobs at the day care) I was coming back and saw her going the wrong way. So I told Dave to grab my phone and ring her. Well, I looked down as he was ferretting around in my bag looking for my phone (which wasn't there), I had slowed down a little. Looked back up to see a ute right in front of me. Of course the obvious happened, bang! Only just got him, but his rear tail light did a big scrape up my bonnet and a little dent. No damage to his thank goodness!
Then Monday morning, as it was raining, Dave pulled my car out and decided to leave it near the back door. He pulled up next to the washing line, and I heard a scrape and crunch, looked out and he had got the pole. So he put it into reverse, and all I saw was my head light sitting out where it should not be!! And the crunching noise of it all sticking. Luckily hubby is off this week, so I went and woke him up and he came down and taped it all back into place for me. He will look at it this weekend to see what sort of damage there is. Hopefully only the headlight mount will need to be replaced.
So now I am waiting for #3. And driving VERY carefully. |

Qld won the State of Origin last night. Go Queensland. For those that follow the Rugby League you will know what I am talking about. A friend of mine was at the match, she rang me from the stadium before it all started, saying good luck etc etc. (There is very friendly rivalry there every game. Obviously she goes for NSW). I told her back before game 1 started that we would lose the first match, but win the series!! I was right. So sucks to be NSW!!
