Trivia Night

Comment Published at 05:4005:403 comments3 comments28 Visits28 VisitsReport

We had the first of our monthly trivia nights tonight at the high school. It went really well. Our table, the Witches of Everton, won the night! Yippee!! As our prize we each received a camping chair. I also won two of the raffle prizes, a little photo album and a toiletries set. Not bad for $15. $10 each to get in and $5 raffle tickets. We had 39 people attend, which we hope to increase next month.

We are running these, as there seems to be a fad on Trivia Nights, and we as the P&C are giving the school $20000 this year, so we need to make money. If we raise at least $1000 each month we will be well on the way toward that goal. Hopefully the numbers will increase next month as word gets around.

Tomorrow it is back to work for me for 3 days. The pest control people are coming Thursday morning to do a partial treatment for the termites. Hopefully this will get rid of them. The owner then will have to replace the window trims that they have eaten through. I might also ask him if we can rip up the carpet in the lounge room as it is disintergrating very quickly. It has been in the house since it was built 65 years ago, so a little bit old. (And ugly!) Would also like to get rid of the wallpaper in the lounge and paint it. He might be willing if we are to do this ourselves which I would like to do. We will have to see.

Re: Trivia Night

Hey,

You sound busy, busy!  I'm sure the landlord would want you to paint and sounds like that carpet has to go!  It'll increase the value of the house and he wont have to do it, why should he say no!

Good luck with all your fundraising too.

Love Julie
