I don't wanna do the dishes
I don't wanna do the wash
I sprinkled clothes a week ago
And now my iron is lost!

I don't wanna rattle pots
I don't wanna rattle pans
I see the mail light flashin
I wanna chat with friends! Oh, the table needs some dusting
and the floor could sure be mopped
But I know if I get started
there'll be no place to stop.

The closets are so full
things are falling off the shelves
I wish for cleaning fairies
and magic little elves. They could sprinkle fairy dust
and twitch their little nose
The windows would be sparkling
I would have no dirty clothes.

Oh, I know that I'm just dreamin
My head is in the sky
I must cook that meat that's graying
and bake that apple pie. The hubby needs a bath
the dog needs attention
Oh... the other way around I mean
my brain is in suspension

I am runnin round in circles
I am getting nothing done,
I keep thinking of my web
I am missing all the fun! Well, I know I'm not addicted
Though I hear that all the time
But I quess this stuff can wait on me
Cause today I'll be ON LINE!!! |

Well this weekend has been soooooo interesting! NOT. I went to turn my computer on Friday night and it kept restarting itself. Tried everything I knew to get it going again but to no avail. Ended up just turning it off before I threw it out the window.
Saturday morning I went to netball, then got home and decided to have another try. Tried a few more combinations of this, even tried to do a recovery on it. Well upshot is, had to reformat and reinstall windows cause something corrupted it.
Now, I bought (on Wednesday last week) a new 320 GB External hard drive to do a backup of my documents and programs so that if anything happened to my computer I would be prepared. Guess what!?! I DIDN'T DO IT!
So I spent the rest of Saturday afternoon, installing programs on my computer and trying to remember what documents I had that I lost.
So when I say that some days I hate computers - I mean it!
So to get myself in a good frame of mind, I went shopping. My youngest needed new shoes, I have all the kids birthdays in the next 2 months so needed to look for stuff to put away for them, hubby needed new shoes, and I needed to get away. I found a really good bargain at Big W. My eldest is in Yr 11 so coming up for Semi-Formals and next year interviews etc etc, and with family weddings christenings etc, felt the time was ripe for a suit. Well Big W has suit coats for $30. Can't beat that, so I grabbed one for him (luckily he was with me and could try them on). He looked so grown up. But that was my bargain for the day. Made me feel a lot happier.

Well the day started by me sleeping in and getting a phone call to wake me up. Then it was a race to get Connor ready for school sports day and have breakfast. Finally made it with minutes to spare before the other child I take to school arrived. Got to school adn dropped the 2 little boys off, felt guilty for not walking them to their classrooms (the other child cannot necessarily be trusted to get to his classroom on his own, he is known to do his own thing) but Connor said it was OK.
Then had to go to work at the high school, got there late. Luckily I had no customers this morning, so had a coffee instead.
Then it was time to go back down to the Primary School to help out with the BBQ for Sports Day. This was fun, very busy, but fun. Even got to watch Connor run in his races but I missed the ball games (what a shame - not! Do I sound like a horrible mother? Just been there twice before.)
Then I had to go and pick up the middle one, he came home from camp today. Luckily the bus was on time. They froze their little tooshies off! Temperatures at night for the camp out went from -8deg to -5deg Celcius. Then went back to the Primary School to pick the boys up, took the other one to his place, went home to Alex having to unpack and tease the crap out of Connor. Oh joy, he's home!
Dave caught the early train from Work Experience so then I had to go and pick him up from the station. Then had to cook a roast for dinner.
Glad to sit down for 10 mins and do nothing but type and whinge for a while. Have a good weekend all.

Well Alex got off to camp ok yesterday. But it is expected to get down to 2 deg on wednesday night and they will be out in the campout. He is gonna freeze his bits off! HaHa. Hope he is enjoying it. I was disappointed at the number of kids who didn't go to camp this year tho. I realise that not everyone can afford to go and the P&C does help out, but we have known about it since the beginning of the year. Anyhoo, on to the older one.
He is at work experience this week and working from 7.30 am til 4.00 pm absolutely knocked him for six yesterday. And he has to do it all week. Not only that, it is a physical job so he is getting tired really easily. All I can say is Thank the Good Lord that the middle child is not here. Otherwise they would be fighting every night. It's bad enough with the young one.
Speaking of whom, he has his school athletics carnival this week. Oh joy, oh fun! I am going to be working the BBQ on Thursday for all the kids and parents so this should be good. It will be interesting to see him doing the races and ball games to see how he does compared to other kids.
Better go. Chat later. Leisa |

Well the middle child is off on school camp on Monday for the week. So tomorrow will be spent packing. The oldest one has work experience for the next week, so he has to organise himself as to getting there etc. He will be at Deagon slipways so to get there has to leave home for the train station at 6.15am. Poor bugger. I think my hubby is gonna drive him to the station tho. have to work that out. So it will be pretty quiet here this week. Gives me a chance to recharge the batteries after the school holidays.

Well this morning is back to school. Thank goodness. It was almost to the stage of lock em all out of the house. We have been busy, organising things for school camp, organising and having interview for work experience, going to the movies and just bumming around.
