First advice

Comment Published at 13:5913:591 comments1 comments6 Visits6 VisitsReport

Today I have just added my first advice and I feel it is a bit heavy. It is just that I feel so alone in what my girl did, I have never heard of a kid do that and it makes me wonder where I went wrong. I have been trying so hard this past year. I have been to 2 six week parenting classes, I am seeing a family coucellor to give me the right tools to deal with these kid of speed humps and still these things happen. I never expected to be a perfect parent, I know that would be inpossible to expect of anyone but when inappripriate behavior happens your first thought is where did this come from? How did it happen and what can I do to stop it ever happening again? Well, I hope my sharing has helped someone, I can't be alone here. My girl can be challenging but there are loads of 4 year olds out there so she won't be the only one. I hope by me joining this site I can feel less alone and have more resources to cope for the next big problem that comes along. We shall see......

Hello!

Comment Published at 21:1721:171 comments1 comments10 Visits10 VisitsReport

Hi there!

This is my first post..am a little nervous as I don't want to give too much info away yet I think I may have something to offer. I have 2 angels...as you can see in the picture and they keep me very busy. My daughter, Lauren is almost 5 and she starts school next year...she will be 5 the day before she starts! My son Daniel is the sweetest mummy's boy...and I never wanted a mummy's boy but he is so cute about it that it is really special to me, he is 13 1/2 mths old.

Both cheeky monkeys keep me busy, but my girl is a real challenge. She REALLY pushes the boundaries and does totally inappropriate things, is super impulsive and very demanding so we have to do extra stuff with her to get her socially ready for school. As yet...Daniel is a normal chap but hey...I love them to bits so what more can I say.

Anyway, thank you for being so welcoming and I hope this will help me more with my day to day Lauren Challenges....fingers crossed xxx
