Master Nicholaus Nicky enjoying story time Where do I start? Brad and I have been together for 10 years but aren't yet married. We have a gorgeous little boy together, Nicholaus. He is the sunshine in both our dreary lives. Nicholaus is nearly 1 YO. He's energetic, on a mission to play, and loves his tucker. He's only days away from walking. He'll take two steps from the lounge then go 'Sh#t! No hands!' and sit to the floor. It's a very exciting time!! Brad is an audio engineer and i'm a primary school teacher. I am embracing motherhood and will stay at home with Nicky as long as I can. Brad and I have been having a pretty rough time over the last few years and this last year has been especially difficult. I had a post-partum psychosis after an extremely traumatic birth. Maybe i'll tell you about it someday. I don't remember anything about Nichoaus until he was 10-12 weeks old. Nicholaus had an operation at 11 weeks - he had a hernia the size of a golfball pressing down into his testicle. He was so uncomfortable that he couldn't sleep. I was sick with worry. It was the WTOML!! All through this I managed to maintain, and to this day continue, breastfeeding - something i am immensely proud of. AND Brad has quit smoking and drinking. It got really bad this year through all the stress. He has been clean and serene for 36 days (and counting). Congratulations daddy!!!!!
