I hear ya with the farmers though - and yeah, they certainly do have the roughest end of the deal with the droughts and all...

We have the other side of the problem here....farmers have no rain and their crops are devestaing....then when we finaly do get rain most of it will only get drawn into feeding the dry banks and nothing for the people...

Mr Mike Rann needs to GET IN TOUCH with reality and get off his political @ss, stop trying to be famous and get back to doing what he is meant to do....help the people here in SA.

Come to think of it...why is this man still running this state? Media greedy, fame dancing fool he is...

It is scary isn't it....

I get so p'sd when I see some idiot washing their car in the driveway with their hose going, without a care in the world....

We have restrictions for this and for good reason...yet some still dont care enough...

I'm over the water restricions and in a big way - but I'm trying to do my part, teach my kids the right way but when I see people just ignore the water concerns I can't help but think...why bother!

Sheeze, I even have a little container in my kitchen sink. I wash my dishes in that and then pour the water over my plants....I've had a hose from my washing machine out to my lawn for years now and its amazing the difference it can make.

I just wish more people thought about this. In saying that though, Adeliade has done well with their water consumption and despite the few that dont...

Changing the subject some, my brother lives Perth - Bellmont (sp?). He does the budget there in the council - or something like that...lol

I lived in Belmont for 4 years. I still don't live too far from there so I know where it is. LOL I know what you mean. They put something in the paper about the areas that have the most water consumption as well as electricity etc, and it was all the really rich suburbs using all the supplies. Probably cause of there big swimming pools, air-conditioning systems, etc. I try to live the simple life too and use the least resources. Trouble is that people don't understand about going without now. Anyway, can't change it. Don't know what is going to happen. I have no lawn though that is because I have always been a sucky gardener. I always tell people that I am saving water. LOL

I hear ya 'bout the gardening....I have a golden rule for gardening...I don't do it!

I pretend that I do but I don't. I water my back lawn with my washing machine water and pull weeds every now and again....but 'cause of the things with eight legs, and more, I keep away from it...

I tried to clean my shed out a few months ago and ended up calling my 75 year old Mother up to help me 'cause I was flipping out because of the spiders. (I have had some major issues with spiders and mice...eww, mice!! Hate mice)

I had an ugg boot issue I had a while ago too. Never felt my heart race like that before!!

I thought I had something icky in there, like a mouse. When I picked it up, this thing moved inside the boot...scampered more like it.... The uggy went one way, I the other and then I called monarogirl over to help me, protect me and KILL what ever was moving inside the boot...

That woman has nerves I tell ya...she upturned the ugg boot and poured out the thing inside that scared me half to death. Which also ended up being a huge, massive, horrid - terrible....bolt with a nut....

Well, it felt like something else....
