great buys at ikea for baby

Comment Published at 15:0915:0922 comments22 comments89 Visits89 VisitsReport

Uploaded these photos days ago of purchases made at Ikea for baby (almost toddler). Thought i'd share mainly cause the prices were low compared to similar stuff one could purchase at Toy shops/ Target/Kmart etc....When buying baby furniture/toys I ask myself 'do they really need this?' and 'how long will it last?...... we all know most purchases are 'stuff' and 'stuff' has a way of multiplying ....Im sure mine does in the middle of the night....dont remember buying so much?  However these Purchases from IKea will last forever and most will entertain kids for quite afew years! So if you almost have a toddler or know of one here are some ideas to keep them entertained and learning at the same time.

The pieces are not in order and there was one piece missing at shooting time but he loves this one and he unstacks/stacks it daily and it was only $10.00

The abacus is one he plays with least at the moment but it will be a great learning tool soon, only $20.00

Could be wrong but from memory think I paid $20.00 for this too......Its a basic train set that can be easily extended with  extra tracks and fittings available at ikea. This one was put away for other day as my little one thought it was more fun to take it apart and throw the pieces around.....which is to be expected but the dog taking them into her kennel to have a chew was the deciding factor in putting it away for another day!

okay cant finish this blog now lol....cant seem to find photos uploaded days ago...will leave it here for now  and get back to it soon............

okay Im back, found the missing photos............

these stacking cups are great at only $3.50.....one cup is missing at time of shoot......multipurpose and functional for bath time, sandpit or used as dough cutters etc.....my little one can spend up to half an hour at a time stacking them and unstacking......they come in handy especially when waiting at the doctor's......

great push wagon at $39.00

this was a real good find at $49.00 we got the table and two chairs...sure we had to put it together but it was real easy!!

Okay Ive been told to blog more by some(lol i think in my case its just blog!)..........so here i am rugged up for the night...pjs on and doh!...computer promblems left, right and centre since logging on, after a couple of phone calls to server all sorted yah!!!

Today after brekkie we went and visited my mil and fil who live in the country. The day was full of adventure for the little one as he got to see certain animals up close for the first time.

bubs with dad and stepbrother

same again

charlie the goat, very much part of the family

lili the alpaca, doesn't she look cute! but boy she's a spitter...best to keep some distance

grandma's garden, this is just a small bit but you get the drift........

grandpa tends to the vegie garden most, we got to take home lots of spinach and rhubarb today..

all in all it was a great day... had a yummy lunch of beef casserole and boiled quinces with cinnamon for dessert. The highlight of the day was levon trying to say 'quack' when viewing the chickens oh well im sure he'll work it  out in his own time lol........

This is driving me bananas

Comment Published at 05:5605:5654 comments54 comments443 Visits443 VisitsReport

A friend sent me this math promblem and after 1/2 hour on it, still dont have right answer.

The answer supposedly unlocks an excel sheet and by signing my name it states "solved it"

well at last count my answer was 9708 but not the right answer

so here below is the promblem...can anyone help!

This is a 5th grade math problem. If you can open the spreadsheet, you'll see it's a very small list of people who have got the correct number. This is not a trick question. This is a real maths problem so don't say that a bus has no legs. The bus driver is not part of the equation.

  • There are 7 girls in a bus.
  • Each girl has 7 backpacks .
  • In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
  • For every big cat there are 7 little cats.

Question: How many legs are there on the bus?
The number of legs is the password to unlock the Excel sheet. If you open it, add your name and send it on to see who else can unlock it.
Good Luck!
