great buys at ikea for baby

by pavementcracks70Comment Published at 15:0915:0922 comments22 comments52 Visits52 VisitsReport

Uploaded these photos days ago of purchases made at Ikea for baby (almost toddler). Thought i'd share mainly cause the prices were low compared to similar stuff one could purchase at Toy shops/ Target/Kmart etc....When buying baby furniture/toys I ask myself 'do they really need this?' and 'how long will it last?...... we all know most purchases are 'stuff' and 'stuff' has a way of multiplying ....Im sure mine does in the middle of the night....dont remember buying so much?  However these Purchases from IKea will last forever and most will entertain kids for quite afew years! So if you almost have a toddler or know of one here are some ideas to keep them entertained and learning at the same time.

The pieces are not in order and there was one piece missing at shooting time but he loves this one and he unstacks/stacks it daily and it was only $10.00

The abacus is one he plays with least at the moment but it will be a great learning tool soon, only $20.00

Could be wrong but from memory think I paid $20.00 for this too......Its a basic train set that can be easily extended with  extra tracks and fittings available at ikea. This one was put away for other day as my little one thought it was more fun to take it apart and throw the pieces around.....which is to be expected but the dog taking them into her kennel to have a chew was the deciding factor in putting it away for another day!

okay cant finish this blog now lol....cant seem to find photos uploaded days ago...will leave it here for now  and get back to it soon............

okay Im back, found the missing photos............

these stacking cups are great at only $3.50.....one cup is missing at time of shoot......multipurpose and functional for bath time, sandpit or used as dough cutters etc.....my little one can spend up to half an hour at a time stacking them and unstacking......they come in handy especially when waiting at the doctor's......

great push wagon at $39.00

this was a real good find at $49.00 we got the table and two chairs...sure we had to put it together but it was real easy!!
