I dont know anyone yet who doesn't like his art or atleast appreciate his talent he gets orders on a semi regular basis for him to draw something for some one. Whether it be a tattoo design, a dragon or anything else for that matter... And its all by word of mouth we ahve never taken them to the markets!!! Though I think maybe we should as it seam to be quite a hit!

The reason we haven't is he thinks it is not any good... (sigh) Does anyone know an artist who does ike their own work?

2 weeks ago my daughter was hospitalised with tha roatrvirus gastrenteritis

She recovered a week later and wentt home whilst she has been happy and healthy for the last week she suddenly has vomiting and diarear again as of today

whilst she still eating properly i wont take her back up again but soon as she starts to reject food its straight back up yay

i am so sick of hospitals shes only 11 weeks old and has been hospitalised twice already once for reflux and thrush and once for gastro i dont wish to make it a third

by the way babies with gastro are disgusting lol

sick of being told off by well meaning know it alls

I am constantly being told by well meaning know it alls that i am patting her on the back too hard cause i have a firm hand well I have had enough...

yes I know it is hard but... I also know what works for my daughter she is quite strong and she likes it that way

a soft tap just makes her very unhappy as the wind doesnt move and people who try to take over wonder why nothing they r doing makes her settle...

Plus if it was too hard do you think she would be making a nice contented sigh and be falling asleep... She loves a firm pat... I would never hurt my daughter and if I was doing it tooo hard she would let me know just like she does when she doesn't want her belly rubbed or when she doesn't want me to rub her feet... or if i accidently (she does this realy not me) head but her...

My daughter is already set in her ways and knows what she likes... And I am her mother and I know what works... I feel like ripping the tongue out of the next person who tells me that as i am sick to death of always having to explain myself. I should not have to... If people can not see she is falling to sleep with a smile on her face then they must be blind... I think they ust just see me patting her and cause it looks slightly harder than they think it should be they think they need to say something...

AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....Ok I feel better now had to get that out!

More exciting news!!!

Tomorrow is her first play group... Its realy a get together for young parents age between 15-25 but still... We get picked up by the good peoples at reconnect and go to the beach for morning tea and lunch and a social... We also get to make new friends... Yippee......

Just got to be ready by 9 o'clock and away we go... She will probably sleep through it as she still very young but hey you never know....

I am such a minti addict that I plan to tell them all about it...

its payday and i am just waiting for the shops to open so i can go get her her propper formula... Nore gut aches... No more headaches... And no more crying!!!

Sort of I am not allowed to give her a bottle this morning cause she has to have a test done and they need her to be hungry so they can get her to drink this special stuff that will show up on a scan...

they want to see just how bad a reflux she has... Poor baby!!!

Now too just figure out what to do with the outstanding electricity bill... Aaaah I bills coming out of my ears... Oh well isn't that what being a parent (or was that Adult I cant remember) is about LOL

I just wish for 2 seconds that I had a fairy god mother to wish away all those nasty debts... oh well a little here and alittle there and a bit of hard work and they will all be gone. These things can disappear and they get less and less every week...

Oh yeah this week I am buying extra formula so I dont run out again... Dont want to give her the other stuff... Shes lactose intolerent you know...

Yippee I am going shopping... LOL

shocking 24 hrs

ok well Zzzz.... I wish i could sleep but even now i am still holding bubs...

it all started yesterday when... I ran out of Karicare soya formula and didn't have enough money to buy some more... I spoke to my community nurse and she had no soya formula but she did give me a couple dozen karicare gold sachets and told me to try those instead... She and doctor who i also saw for sec opinion said she probably wasn't lactose intolerent when i put her on soya just reflux and colic which she had been treated for and had settled down...

So i thought ok i will give the sachets a go... AND O MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME!!! 2 feeds later she screaming like shes in agony... her poo is green and nothing i can do will settle her.

Today her poo was rock hard she still screaming so i take her back to doctors and he goes o maybe she is lactose intolerent. MAYBE MAYBE D** RIGHT SHE IS!!!  Now he doesnt know how to settle her stomach as this is not his area of expertise so he sends me back to the community nurse.

She says use sugar water to get her bowls moving properly again and put her back on soya...

i say i was here yesterday cause i had none and could not afford it..so you guys gave me sachets...

she says oh ne way you get the picture...

in the end i went to the pharmacy and explained my delema.. they wouldnt give me an account or soya formula they did give me 3 sachets of goats milk formula but apparently thats a one off...

I dont know what i am going to do as i dont get paid till wednsday I am so peaved

I should have budgeted better

Living life to the fullest- 2 choices

       John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him
how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

       He was a natural motivator.

       If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

       Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, "I don't get it!

       You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

       He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to
be in a bad mood.

       I choose to be in a good mood."

       Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

       Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose
the positive side of life.

       "Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.

       "Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to
situations. You choose how people affect your mood.

       You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."

       I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about
him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

       Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

       After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

       I saw him about six months after the accident.

       When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins...Wanna see my scars?"

       I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.

       "The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I
remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."

       "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.

       He continued, "..the paramedics were great.

       They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and
nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action."

       "What did you do?" I asked.

       "Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said John. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes, I replied.' The
doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'."

     Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."

       He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude.. I learned from him that every day we have the choice
to live fully.

      Attitude, after all, is everything .

       Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

     After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

       You have two choices now:
       01. Delete this.
       02. Forward it to the people you care about.

I read this to my daughter when I am trying to settle her and it puts her to sleep almost every time!

Shoveling the dirt (Life can and does go on)

This email was sent to me by my grandmother I think it is great and has an important message for all. I believe She took this from  http://www.wesbank.co.za but i am still checking it out. I have also added a little to it at the bottom but its in caps so you can tell whats been copied word for word and what hasn't.

Fabulous point of view....

 One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a
 well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
 the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the
 well needed to be covered up anyway; 
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and
 help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
 to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
 donkey realized what was happening and cried
 horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he
 quieted down.

 A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
 looked down the well. He was astonished at what
 he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
 back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
 He would shake it off and take a step up.

 As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel
 dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
 off and take a step up.

 Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
 stepped up over the edge of the well and
 happily trotted off!

 Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
 of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
 is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
 our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
 of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
 never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

 Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

 Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

 Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.

 Live simply and appreciate what you have.

Give more.

NOW FOR MY OPINION I THINK APPLIES TO EVERYONE EXPECIALY PARENTS AS WE ALL KNOW LIFE HAS ITS UPS AND DOWNS.

JUST REMEMBER DESPITE WHAT YOU OR YOUR KIDS DO IN LIFE IT STILL GOES ON JUST SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO SHOVEL THE DIRT A LITTLE.

hey guys im back online and ready to go!!!

Hi all im back online again after having spent all of the last week in the hospital with little miss Im going to develope reflux and oral and you know where thrush. Oh my poor baby girl an interesting experience of non stop crying and weight loss. But shes better now we think.... We have to go for another checkup on monday but thats just to male sure she is doing well... oh yeah don't let anyone tell you that you cant put bubs back on the breast again after 3 weeks of bottle feedings cause i just did!!! Yay!!! Well sort of any way she is half bottle half breast but only because my milk supply is still building up again... So yeah sry i havent responded to ne email or comments lately just been a bit preoccupied.

I am trying to keep my advice short and simple as i am tired and not getting much sleep cause little miss 7 wks is keepingme up all night and dsy withcolic. I am planing on buying gripe water tommorow hope that helps nothing else is working! I realy do think my advice is good advice but now some1 has reported me for suggesting to do the same thing i do realy find it hard to read long winded or plain out just long advice (although the advice that people are writing is fantastic) as my brain isn't functioning properly! which is why i sugested bullet point form form as well. And im sure im not the only one and then there are people likemy husband to keep in mind he has a learning difficulty and if it is too long then he has trouble reading and comprehending it so like i said sry!
