I'm 25 years old, married and with two chilren (both girls). Their names are Aaliyah and Krystana. Aaliyah is currently 2 years old, while Krystana is 8 months old (born 4th November). I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, but am currently a full-time Mum. My husband, Brandon, is a Labourer for a company that fixes diesel engines. Aaliyah is usually a bundle of joy and VERY active/alert. She has beautiful blue eyes and auburn hair, and an absolutely GORGEOUS smile. She usually LOVES her food and often manages to get it everywhere. She also LOVES to walk around and run, and has developed a love of climbing too. We found out when she was 9 months old that I was pregnant with our second child, which was due on the 25th October, but she ended up being born on the same day as my own birthday - the 4th November!! |

Hi all,
Well, after yesterday's much needed rant and blow off I am feeling much better today. Krystana woke up again this morning at 6:08am, but last night Brandon and I determined that these early starts are throwing her whole day out so I walked into her room with a bottle of water for her, ready and determined to put her back to sleep. For a while I had a fight on my hands because we had allowed it for so long - she cried and screamed angrily at me but I was determined and patient so I just held her comfortingly, occassionally offering the bottle of water, and singing sofly to her. After 45 mins she fell fast asleep and I walked out of her room a happy Mum. I was pleased and nicely surprised at myself because I was patient with her the whole time, even while she was screaming at me. I did not enjoy hearing her scream of coarse, but for far too long now we've let her up that early in the morning and her whole day's routine is put out - she doesn't sleep properly, she sleeps at different times, etc.... instead of some sort of consistency like she had previously. And what was an even better surprise was that her screaming didn't wake Aaliyah up!!! YAY!!!!!!!
About mid-morning today I went and caught the train to Cannington shopping centre (about 20mins drive from my house) because my car rego has expired and not sure when we'll be able to pay it yet - but we're working on it. Had to do some stuff at Priceline Pharmacy there. Aaliyah freaked out at the trains - she was quite frightened of them, even while aboard them. She didn't like the fact that they're so much bigger than a car, and so much noisier (especially the air-brake thingys). She was okay on the train ride home tho - she didn't like the fact we were going on one, but she almost fell asleep from the rocking motion once it got going. She in bed atm lol.
Well, that's about the only update I have today. Doing some washing atm cause the sun is out today (although there is some cloud around) and I'm not sure when the next sunny day will be - it's been pretty wet and gloomy around here weather-wise this past week.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

I'm antsy, bored and tired - had a crappy sleep last night. Krystana's been waking up around 6am daily now, and I'm wishing she'd sleep a little later cause I was thinking about waking up before her to have a bit of time to myself and pray before facing the day, but I can't get up before 6am or I'm exhausted all day.
I need a nice hot shower, but I can't just yet. Just told Aaliyah off for raiding the bin for the Xth time today, and as a result Krystana has just woken up way too early from her nap - can hear her cooing and grizzling in her room. I hate it sometimes when I put one child down for a nap (which I've just done with Aaliyah) and the other wakes up, especially when I need some quiet time to myself.
My floors need vacuuming and washing, and I've just discovered cat poop on the laundry floor - GGGGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! My emotions are all over the place atm - I'm grizzly, tired and depressed at the same time. I know it'll pass as it always does but I could scream and cry at the same time. LOL - I feel like the cartoon Mum's with the frazzled hair, bags under the eyes, coffee in one hand and grizzling baby in the other, and half asleep lol.
Everything is routine, day in, day out - get out of bed, prepare breakfast, clean teeth, change clothes, change nappy, sing song, read book, change another nappy, give snacks, settle grizzling baby, put baby down for nap, change toddler's nappy, settle crying baby, play with toddler while settling baby occassionally, baby is finally asleep, play with toddler, put toddler down for nap and pick up baby, change nappy, feed baby, amuse baby, toddler wakes up and needs lunch, change nappy, put baby down for nap....etc. Oh well - will go out later to the shop so that will be a nice change.
Might go and watch a movie or something to pick me up a bit. Hope you all have a good day.
Btw - I do cherish my girls, so please don't take me the wrong way, just having a much needed vent.....

Hi all,
So far today it's one of those loooooong drawn out days, and I'm feeling very antsy. Been up since 6:10am when Krystana woke up for breakfast, and did a few things online but now I'm wanting to do something but not sure what - know the feeling?
Krystana is asleep atm and Aaliyah is looking out the front window at the trees and watching the occassional car drive by. Our next door neighbour has the same car as my MIL, so everytime Aaliyah sees it she says "Nanna's here". lol - usually several times throughout the day (sometimes 10 times in one minute lol). She then usually switches to "Poppy's here?" I think she's just a tadbored lol (detect the hint of sarcasm ).
The Royal Show is on atm here in Perth, and although I would kinda like to take the girls we don't have the $$$. I think if we were to go I'd go on the last day when there's less people cause I'd only get a couple of show bags, but it would mainly be to show them all the animals and stuff, and go on a couple of rides. Oh, and take photo's of coarse lol .
Discovered the other day that Aaliyah has three of her four molars through now - the last one hasn't made an appearance just yet but know doubt it will soon. Krystana is teething too which is interesting.
Anyhow, I think that's about all the stuff I have to write about........ have fun all.

Hi all,
Hmmmmm.......am sitting here while my kids are playing together on the floor, wondering what I'm going to blog about. I'm quite bored atm lol, and am waiting for dinner to finish cooking.
As I look over to the kids I have a bit of a giggle cause Aaliyah is doing funny faces at Krystana, and Krystana is absolutely cracking up laughinig! I must admit I am really proud of my girls. Although they can frustrate me sometimes, I love the way that they love and adore each other. Aaliyah is 2yrs and 4 months old, and rarely throws a tantrum. She can play a bit roughly with Krystana, and is slowly learning to share, but you can see in her eyes that she adores her. She loves to make Krystana laugh, and will try and copy Mummy by trying to feed her or give her a drink out of her sippy cup. Aaliyah's words are getting clearer by the day too now - she speaks in sentences! (although often still hard to understand). She says things like "I popped off" , "Car's outside", "Daddy's home/at work", "Kovu's outside" (our cat), "Krystana's crying", "Nanna's here", "It's okay", "Of coarse it's okay", and many other things. She also LOVES to help now - she'll help pack away her toys, put things in the bin or washing basket, put her shoes away, and all sorts. Oh, and she's addicted to nursery rhymes (even memorised a couple which is so cute to hear her sing) - she loves the little green frog, row your boat, itsy bitsy spider, round and round the garden, ride a cock horse.........but her all time favourite is twinkle twinkle little star.
Krystana is doing well too. She's 10 months old now (will be 11 months begining of Oct), and developing quickly. Although she's stubbornly not crawling yet, she's found a way to roll to where she wants to be . She also is coming out with an array of sounds and vocalisations. She says Mummy/Mamma now, and sometimes Dadda. She got quite a personality, and still loves a good cuddle - she even gives them of her own accord too, and she's insists on touching EVERYTHING!!! lol.
I take the girls to playgroup once/twice a week now, which they both love. Aaliyah loves the playdough, dolls, and craft activities, and Krystana loves the baby toys. It's very stimulating for them because once we get home it's lunchtime, and then they both crash for (hopefully) a couple of hours .
Anyway, that's about all the news I have, so hope you all have a good weekend, and if you're in WA - enjoy the long weekend!
