Finally, a good night's sleep!

Due to the pain in my neck I have not been sleeping much. But last night I slept very well! The antibiotics are obviously working, thank goodness! The lump is a bit tender this morning but at least it didn't keep me awake.

I feel a lot better about everything actually. My friend's little boy is much better :) He is on ventalin which he doesn't like but at least he's fine now. And as for Grandma, well, I figure I'm just not meant to go to her funeral. When I was told she didn't have long left to live the kids and I went with my Dad up to see her. I think I'd rather keep that memory of her in my mind. If I was to go to the funeral and look at the coffin I'd fall apart. I've always be very close to Grandma, more so than any of her other Grandkids. She loved all her grandchildren just as much as each other but always said I was her favourite. She had me, and my brother, around a lot when growing up (her other grandkids lived far away). When I grew up and got my licence I would take her to the club for her bingo days and take her shopping. She's always been there for me and even more so when my mother (her daughter) passed away from cancer 17 years ago. After I moved away I'd call her, or she'd call me, every Sunday. I miss talking to her. I will miss her dearly. But I know she's not suffering anymore and she is reunited with her husband, my mother, and 2 other children she lost when young (a baby at a few months old and a son who drowned in a tragic scout accident).

Well, the washing is done so better go hang it out. It's a lovely day here today which I'm glad about so can get the clothes dry. Take care all.
