One thing I forgot to mention in my last entry. The site doesn't have a lot of Australian shops at the moment, but there will be!

Earn money for FREE

by Practical-PrincessComment Published at 17:1817:180 comments0 comments28 Visits28 VisitsReport

I've just found a great way to earn money - & it's 100% free! Really, there are no set up fees, no ongoing fees, nothing! To earn money all you do is shop! It's that easy!

You can earn money 2 ways - the first is just by earning rebates on what you buy. The second is by earning rebates from what others buy - you get other people to join, they spend, you get some of the reward! You are never obligated to spend anything - what you buy & how much you spend is your choice.

Also, a part of the corporate funds goes to help an underprivelged child through 'One-Child-At-A-Time program.

Go to http://www.mypowermall.com/Biz/Home/54803 & check it out!

Have a great day!

School hols here again

by Practical-PrincessComment Published at 18:3318:330 comments0 comments9 Visits9 VisitsReport

School holidays are here again. Gee, the term goes quick! Only one term left of the school year already! Even scarier, the shops are starting to put out their christmas stock!

It's been a bit of an up & down year, especially with my eldest, Jess. She's officially a teenager now, but has had the attitude & moods of a teen for a long time. We've had quite a few arguements, one recently resulting in her cutting herself (with a safety pin) as she thought I didn't love her or didn't want her. I told her we are going to have plenty of argeuments but it will never, ever mean I don't love or want her. A friend recommended books by Michael Carr Gregg, a psychologist who has done a lot of work with kids. The friend bought me one of his books that is particularly good for dealing with girls - 'The Princess Bitchface Syndrome' - gotta love the name of it, lol! He has a website - www.michaelcarr-gregg.com.au - check it out. What I have read so far has been quite interesting & helpful (I found that my local library has many of his books, too).

Jess is going to stay a week of the holidays with my brother & his family. I thought a break from each other would be good & she will have a great time. She's going to stay a week & then I'm going to take my other kids up to have a few days with them, too. I'm really looking forward to it, especially seeing my gorgeous niece, Brodie (she's 3).

Hope you all have a great weekend! Stay safe.

Let a child be a child

by Practical-PrincessComment Published at 15:5415:543 comments3 comments16 Visits16 VisitsReport

Most of you would have seen or heard about the 12 year old catwalk model. Who else agrees how disgusting this is? I mean, she is a child! Let her be a child!

She will never have a normal life & will have problems when she grows up. She will have lost her childhood - that will affect her to start with. Then there will be the drugs & alcohol that is well known to be prevelant in the model industry that she will be introduced to way too young. No doubt she will also be introduced to sex too young. It's all part and parcel of the model industry.

Basically, I think her parents should be ashamed of themselves for exploiting their child in such a way. She's a beautiful girl, no doubt about that, but that doesn't mean they should have her look like she's 18 instead of just 12! Whatever happened to the laws about the age a child is allowed to work? In any other job a child has to be 14 to work part-time only! She can still model, but do kid's fashions, or teen fashions, for catalogues. Bring her back to her own age!
