Ha what a great movie. A friend of mine mentioned that her son loved Chicken Little. I had no idea how cute Chicken Little was and all the great messages and morals of the story in the movie for my 4 year old. It was fun watching it together and singing the song at the end...I must let my friend know now both our boys love Chicken Little.

It's a great movie about overcoming insurmountable odds and shining through no matter your size.

I never thought the last two to three weeks would be the opposite of my expectations. And sadly those weeks was renewing and applying for emergency passports, booking flights for family members, attending a funeral, then to fly back and discover the battle with cancer had taken hold for another family member, but never conquered this close family member's spirit. Partaking in the organising of the second funeral was special and a privilege to do. You do also realize the power of loving each day as if it were the last and making sure you tell your loved ones you love them every day.

Rest in peace those close to us who have passed away.

Latest advice from me

Has anyone had any problems writing advice articles, saving issues, losing paragraphs please let me know. Also any issues with uploading images.

Also would it be better to have a link to your Advice on the top right orange bar so you can better access your advice page?

Well it has been one night in the new Joshua and Codi room, the boys sharing a room!!! and it has been fantastic so far, albeit we are waking a little earlier until the novelty wears off...It's so exciting to see them both sleeping in their half of the room..we made sure we had the boys room decorated with their favourite posters and glow in the dark stars. I think Josh being 13 months and Codi being 4.8 years works really well with sharing a room...no more kids bed at the end of our feet in our room!!!!!!!!!

The trick that we stumbled upon was how the sleeping arrangements were when we go away on holidays and Codi thought it was real fun to see what was a room for the kids...so we just copied the arrangement at home and eventually go them both to share a room when we were away this long weekend away...and he feels very proud...as we are of him...I also think Josh is loving the idea of his big brother sleeping and sharing the same room....okay yes it has been just one night at home, but fingers crossed it becomes the norm!!!

Yay Minti is running faster...

It was so funny, as you do, you turn the clocks back as in the Southern Hemisphere we are going out of Daylight saving, well it was so funny (but not at the time) to see my husband shriek on horror that it was 2pm, and happened to be looking at the time on my computer I hadn't changed the time on, hehehee it was 1pm not 2pm so he didn't miss his appointment...I did an April fools a day early and without even knowing it

I have just been reading about Social Skills article on Minti, "Social Skills for Kids" as I have been witness to just how complex and difficult it can be for a four year old to socialise, especially when 4 year old kids are at various stages of development and communication. Anything that can help us parents make the experience empowering rather than disempowering, helps our little four year olds try to socialise as much as they can. I think by working with the teacher and the school it can help children voice their concerns and worries about making friends and handling difficult situations like being left out.

I do rather like the idea of the "Bully Box" in the article by jeantracey ... I wonder if that idea would work here in Oz (Australia)...I guess I will only find out if I suggest it.

Our little man Joshy will be 12 months soon...my how times flies.

We will most likely have a little family gathering to celebrate and send some mini cupcakes for his little mates in daycare...

Yippee!!! One year coming up...
