TV tantrums

Initially I thought how lovely it was that Codi "really" likes Boohbah and The Wiggles, but now it has become an obsession! It is a big crying session if the DVD show of The Wiggles or Boohbah is not put on when I have explained "bye bye TV". My only issue is how long in front of the TV watching these shows can I handle? I try and only allow a block of watching TV of an hour, but it is becoming a "CHALLENGE" to not go pass this allocated time ...I have a feeling that since "Dummy/Pacifier" was given up to the Dummy Fairy that his comfort item has been replaced with Humpty Dumpty, Anthony the blue Wiggle, Jumbah from Boohbah (the three go everywhere) and persisting to watch The Wiggles and Boohbah around the clock....try straping Codi into his car seat, or eating dinner with all these things in his hands....oh and a new obsession taking his Bobbie Car with him to BED!!!!!!

Oh well, just another day in the life of Toddlerdom...lots of deep breaths for mom

I must be extra tired with being in my second trimester - lol.

T.V
My daughter loves Barney. I have to limit watching barney to twice a day (1 hour) if we are home all day. If she is at nursery school for the morning, lunch, naps she can watch barney when she gets up from her nap.

TV tantrums
My son loves all those shows you've mentioned, plus Sesame Street and Thomas the Tank Engine. He hasn't thrown a tantrum when the TV is not on though, thank goodness. A couple of times I've put on a Veggie Tales CD and he found that interesting when there are voices coming out somewhere when the TV is off.
