I have recently been looking at baby wearing options. I have found a great site dedicated to baby wearing.  As well as wraps, slings etc you can buy they also have links to sites with free patterns to make your own

The wrap on the metro mumma site (I couldn't get the mummytv page to open) looks so simple - like just a single piece of fabric but what they do with it is amazing. They do say that their fabric is special.
I have a baby bjorn - we got the top one in the range with the extra back support because I have had a bit of trouble with my back. We use the babybjorn a lot but I am now getting to the stage where I would like to wear her on my back or hip - which you can't do in a baby bjorn. Wish I had remembered Izzy's advice on baby wearing when I bought my baby bjorn - she recommended the ergo. Still whose brain is really functioning just after having a baby.
