It has been real busy on the home front. Yes I was hit with the nesting bug and we cleared out a lot of home office files and junk that I had no idea would fill a 6 cubic metre BIN!!! It took me 4 days to start in the garage and then Clay and I took another 4 more days to clear out, open boxes and actually move stuff inside the house into empty cupboards!!! I had 10 bags of old clothes for charity and well, I realize now its not such a good idea to move without clearing out the junk as as you move!!!!

Yes I know it makes sense to clear junk and not take it with you - lol... I have made it mental note to really do a proper spring clean each year and not hoard!!!

Hey, settle down, none of my stuff is junk!!!

It should be a law that we have to move house every year or 2. Always seems to be a good clean up every time we move.

I have dug my heels in for a while now so happy collecting for me.

My Grandma was a hoarder, i think it had something to do with the depression but i can't stand having things i don't use around....but i won't just bin it. I like to give it to someone, sell it, give it to charity or recycle. One mans junk is another mans treasure!

Oh snap ive been clearing out too well between minti and visiting my nan haha so far ive had about 25 black bags full of it still have 3 rooms to go im really dreading the spare room its fuyll of crap and barrys tools lol

I'll be doing a big sort out once the kids go back to school, especially on the youngest childs room as she can't do it her self yet. Clearing out everything.

Why don't you put the clothing on Freecycle or something similar. Just a thought.

Argh yes exactly what I am doing now. Have so many bags going to charity and rubbish. But it feels so good to declutter.

we used to get 2 kerb side collections here a year but they stopped it cause it went up for tender (am not amused)
My hubby is such a horder he gets boxes sent from the us with car stuff in it and he doesnt throw it away, says it will come in handy for something later on. My front yard is a breeding grounds for cars atm i have 3 out there, i managed to get him to gewt rid of the other 3 and i have 1 more in the carport which is our sons (yes i know he is only 5 but him and Chris are going to do it up over time)

good on you for getting the cleaning bug. more than welcome to come here and do mine LOL

I can't stand hoarding stuff, but hubby is the complete opposite so it makes cleaning out so much harder as it's all his stuff. Although we do get a council clean up once a year.

Woohoo, isn't it great to get it cleared out. I have to get a skip in soon to do mine. I have made a mental note that this year I will not have so much junk in the house. One day I will get to it. Leisa

Wow, time flys dosen't it??? Gee sounds like a lot of stuff you have there, easier to chuck it out when you have the time.

My idea is to not horad also but sometimes I just can't help myself LOL
