This post is from from my other blog here I officially signed the papers today (only one paper hehe) to agree to Codi’s transition into the…what for it…TODDLER ROOM. Well done, little man! He started today transisitioning from the ‘baby room’. Oh the pain of it, realizing he is growing up soooo fast! I will be celebrating his 18th soon, aaarrr, hide the skulling jug. Anyway, getting over it, (JUST) and he’s already trying to communicate more just from one day!!!
When Clay gets back from Supanova and Gnomedex, you betcha baby, we will be trying for number twooo babeh yeah!! heheh (I love austin powers)

There has been lots of feedback from the feature "Nanny on the Net", a two page spread, thanks everyone!! I will see if I can scan the article in and update this post. It's a shame I have to pay online to get the content to this article. Till then...Previous local press was in WA Business News...
Codi + mum on front cover of local paper
It was lovely to be part of this special feature, mainly because it is highlights a change in thinking. Women are starting to draw a line in the sand and saying that we are proud to be 'mumpreneurs' ('mompreneurs').
Codi thought it was interesting to see his picture on some colorful paper. |

Just thought everyone might like to know that a new dad (go the dads!!) has had 1190 profile views. It so great to see a dad like this thinking of other parents and sharing his tips "each" day. Dads are also very much involved and often and give a great perspective on parenting.

Minti has been going for nearly 4 months and has received some great buzz, in parent blogs and industry press. The downside was with one article on CNET, also gave someone the idea of giving us a 'Denial of service' attack and potential cool Minti parents couldn't get to our site for some hours. Luckily this article was distributed via NY Times, MSN Tech and MSN Canada. We did get Canada members come on over and join us.
So help us reach our target!!!! Help spread the word and help parents reach more parents!!!
Our target: 1000 members by the 30th June (that's only 261 more members!!!)
I can't wait to blog about who has helped us!!!
Thank you to those members who have spread the word already!!!
C u round Minti!!!

I was a contributor to this report, based on my blog; Talking Tech on Family 2.0
Minti was also listed at one of the Family 2.0 sites in this report.
I was able to get a copy of the report and I was staggered by the trends and stats. This 1.7 trillion dollar US moms market are now looking at spending time more online and integrate the web more into their lives.
Moms want to enhance their experiences through online social contribution, participation and networking. This is very promising for this space. However, for me, I am benefiting from Family 2.0. I have met so many friends, I feel I have a community in which I belong. I feel really proud to be part of something that helps me be a better person, mother and wife!!!
Has it helped you? |

To help with what button does what and what certain links mean throughout Minti, you might like to take a quick tour - clickhere
I just did the tour and it's really visual and has helpful explanations of what, for example a "Tag Cloud" is and how to use it. What certain things are in your member account page allow you to do, as well as everything you need to know on publishing a great article with images, tags, related and external links to improve your ranking in the community.
Feel free to give me any feedback.
Visit the quick Minti tour...
Cheers,
Rachel

This post is from from my other blog here You know I was thinking..it’s funny when I see questions that ask me what are my favorite movies and I really have to think…
So here are some..
- The Princess Bride
- Lost Boys
- Pretty in Pink
- Point Break
- Electric Dreams
- ET
- Desperately Seeking Susan (still love madonna)
- Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (yes I was a fluro socks follower with the pom pom attached)
these are some I really loved, but more importantly makes me do a time warp back into my youth (which wasn’t that long ago)…I wonder what Codi’s movies will be…???
What are your real favourites?
I am still thinking to add more to the list!

Bloger conference is for women bloggers to learn more about blogging on the internet and meeting other fellow bloggers in person. Guys are welcome too.
There are some pretty big sponsors like Yahoo, Club Mom and MSN Spaces. Pretty exciting stuff.
What’s best is that I’ll have some Minti friends with me!!!!
