So for my birthday, I would love the present of seeing this new blog button on your site, either on minti or your own blog site in the blogospheres...so want to share the love of minti....thank you for sharing mine with the world, I want to help Minti friends make a difference in a parent's life...

It's amazing how much I miss being a busy mom and wife. It was sooo quite on the plane. I didn't have internet connection, so it was even more like meditating and all I did was sleep. lol. Sleep, what a reward, can you believe I had the freedom to slllleeeeeppppp!!! And boy did i sleep. I slept the full three and a half hours from Perth (Australia) to Sydney (Australia) and then slept the long haul flight from Sydney to San Fran. The car ride I was awake for to get to San Jose - hehe...but I thought to myself, I'll just check out the bed (since i hadn't slept on a soft surface for nearly 24 hours) and crashed for another 4 hours!!!! I woke up and began wandering the halls in a daze (no not that bad) but at 5 pm the place was buzzing with newly arrived women bloggers!!
On that topic, what do you think about an event just for woman? Do you think Blogher, should now do a Bloghim?
Anyway, I am loving getting back into Minti and feverishly trying to catch up on everything. Can't wait to see who wins the rrrr Rooma - then she/he may get a chance to have some sleep too!!! |

You know, when Clay (my husband) was away and I attempted the house move, I talked about tsunami 9 head banging tantrums with Codi, that I had to handle for the first time. Well, it was amazing the following week Clay was home. I really put all my attention on to the family bonding and one on one with not just Codi, but my hubby and the dogs. What also worked wonders for me, was just being close to Codi and just by me being around him, playing with him, singing and talking - mainly doing stuff with him has brought my bubby back and more. I had no idea, just how much security I give him, just by hanging out together and sharing little moments of catching each other and smiling together. Makes me really understand what i am all about and staying real with my family. Everything else, can take a raincheck
This is really helped in leaving the homely nest for BLOGHER!!!
Latest reports from his daddy are no tantraums and plenty of cute moments. |

I did the wrong thing today. I should not have gone to get Codi earlier than I do this morning, even if he is awake. Codi is a 7-7:30/8 am baby and boy any earlier than 7:30 I am wanting to retire as a parent!!! Codi was SO tired all morning, that nothing made him happy and all he did was cry. Cry at breakfast, cry on his walk, cry in the car, cry at the shops (as they do) but his crying was from extreme tiredness. He feel asleep in the car on the way home, exhausted from crying and begging for sleep since he woke up. I think I will follow what works for me and resettle him back and let him coo/grisle in his cott and not get him until after 7:30am.
It's hard when there is building going on next door...I feel sorry for the little man when the building starts 7am right next to his room. I think I will leave the aircon on in the morning and not turn it off, to drown out the building noises and just turn off our room zone.
I have some quiet now...to regain some of my sanity..arrr

What was it like? Moved on Monday and Tuesday, that was fine. - Except the street light outside Codi's room never turns off. So I figured that out when Codi bare slept an hour that night, until I blocked out the windows and doors at 4 in the morning with blackcard board. I had to do this the next night, as I found more light shining in. - Monday and Tuesday I only had about 3 hours sleep, but was powering away on the energy of moving in.
Codi was at daycare those two days, as well as transitioning into from the baby's room into the toddler's room, and his daddy away in the US, he was a little beside himself. On the Monday, he had a tantrum at daycare and banged his forehead, getting a bruise. Since his daddie left for the US, he has had a tantrum every day until this Saturday. My goodness, Saturday morning I was fixing his black cardboard in his room, without getting his milk first (usually he doesn't mind me doing something before hand) this time no. The biggest tantrum I've had, he was head butting himself into the floor. So, I put him in his cott and went and got his milk.
The rest of the day I really then focused on routine and we had lots of visitors and his friend over. It ended up being the best day and we are back into home life now and he is back to normal, no tantrums. He is also sleeping better (and so am I) and gobbling up his food. I think he is so happy now, because I am not always on the phone and letting all sorts of delivery people and fix-it people here to the house.
Capers in the house...(a newly built house)
- The piping that the washing machine connects to, to get water needed to be fixed as water sprayed out everywhere. (Finally got fixed on Saturday afternoon)
- Hot water to bathroom that Codi uses was just trickling out. (Fixed on Sat)
- The aircon needs to get a motor part replaced, not sending air into the family room. So have had to set up the heaters in the family room. (Codi's getting a chest cough, so trying to keep him really rugged up.
- The never used dishwasher is not working, with a fault sign coming up
- The microwave is making a grunting noise.
Other than that it's starting to feel like home!!! |
