Dave is at work and will be getting a bottle of wine on the way home. He won't want any big night last night for him( I'm not happy bout it he was very late home and very drunk and sick and cranky this morning! Ha that made me smile though)

all we have done is put gates in so that he knows where is and isn't able to go eg kitchen & bathroom,

but our house is so small the bathroom and other bedrooms are all down the one hallway so all we needed to do was block off that hallway and the kitchen was easy as there is only one way in and out so that got blocked to, so hopefully he won't work out how to get through them.

and i wouldn't blame you for that, he'll walk when he's ready just trying to explain that to the MIL at the moment cause all she wants is him to be walking and talking.

That's just what you should say to anyone questioning it. Doesn't it give you the pip when people won't let them grow at their own pace. They will do it all when they are good and ready.
