Re: Heat Wave!

My theory is, you can always add more layers of clothing and blankets etc to warm up, but once you're hot, its hard to cool down. And its not always appropriate to start shedding layers of clothing!

Nell, tell your friend to come via Adelaide so she can bring some of that heat with her to warm you up!

And Marg, I think Canada sound fabulous - a few days over 30C? WOW! Lucky you.

Re: Heat Wave!

Heavens!  We had a beautiful balmy day yesterday at 14 to 18 c. In November!  Crazy!!!  We get some heat waves during the summer, maybe 30 or a wee bit over for a few days but winter we can have minus 30 for a week or two.  I love Canadian weather!!! Love it!  Best of luck Sweety, it must be hard on the kiddies.

Re: Heat Wave!

39 tomorrow?!?! OMG. I think its too hot when its 29. i love living in SA, but could gladly move to Antarctica during summer. I'm such a baby when it comes to being hot! Seriously, I cry when I see its going to be stinking hot for a week or so.  Why cant we have some of that rain that is flooding QLD & NSW?

On another note....a few weeks ago when we DID have some rain, we went up to Kangaroo Creek Dam to watch the overflow. My boys (11& 8) were hoorified that it was just being allowed to flow out to sea. Dude (11) wanted to know why we couldnt catch that water and put it into the Murray River! Fabulous Idea!
