Here, here! I too have gone way down into the 500+ pits and to be honest..Im pissed! I for one do care about rankings, yes I know we should be looking at the whole "contributing to a parenting society blah blah" but c'mon, how can admin justify folkartists drop? A member I know has not logged on since May 2007 with 2 pieces of advice and not alot else but is ranked in the 400's..work that out! No offence but did they put all the members names in a hat and randomly pull names out starting at rank 1? Only senario that makes sense to me!

i agree it is going to cause more problems . i admit you have prob conrubited more than me latley yet your ranked way behind me i dont understand . its stupid . i dont think there should be any rankings no one is better than the next person

i dont really care what my ranking is but for some reason i've gone from 2?? to 500+....go figure...i haven't done anything different and we dont have that many new people

 I also agree with you Angie, think this new system is going to cause problems......I believe  there should be recognition for contribution across all sectors of minti and not just on advice articles.

Like i said to clay, i dont think we should be ranked on our articles because not everyone has something ot write and it also means anyone could go around voting people up or down to move their ranks, even non members can do it. So many of us come on here daily, even 10times a day, and its us who are commenting on blogs, helping people, and giving people answers to their questions when they need them. We should be ranked on our input, not ratings on a article and logging in once a month..

Me personally, i dnt care about my rank but it did upset me that people are in the top 50 who hardly come on!

Truth be told, I think it's unfair that you've been here longer than I have been, written more articles than me, had more parenting experience than I have..
Yet your ranking is only 4 ranks above me!! I honestly think I should be much lower than you.

I've read your articles before, and they are always full of first hand experience, and they honestly give me a lot to think about..
That's why I think you deserve to be given more credit, than I have been given !!

I know that Minti are trying to change the ranking system and take it "up a notch"..
But like Cath said, it was great the way it was before :)

I respect you, I respect Minti, and I respect everyone else on here..
But I think our ranks should reflect what we do contribute (whether it be through articles, comments, blogs), and how often..
And all I know is, you do contribute.. and you do it often too !

Not trying to cause a fight here at all, just saying that I see your point of view :)

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion or asking a few questions about it.  My personal opinion, is why it needed changing in the first place? I guess we'll see what happens in the next few weeks.
