Lean On Me

by robalmanComment Published at 19:0219:022 comments2 comments22 Visits22 VisitsReport

A parent is not someone to lean on but someone to make leaning  unnecessary.

Dorothy Fisher: Basically the same but the verse was originally for a mother.

Sad

Is a sad  day today for me. My son has been gone for 20 years .

He may have only been 16 weeks old but the image of him is etched into my heart for eternity.

WOW...The new Minti looks like it will be a real hit...I love it, so much more interactive.

A better way to organise things. Like I said...AWESOME.

Congratulations for such a great job.

Another Text 2 My Daughter

by robalmanComment Published at 01:5901:5917 comments17 comments56 Visits56 VisitsReport

I believe I have found the best way to communicate with my daughter and since many kids these days have mobile phones other parents may like to consider similar.

Try and give them advice and it will get thrown straight back at you but disguise it in a message of love and it goes down so sweet.

My most recent txt below:

A Daughter is like a loaf of bread.

Don't give it time to rise and it is flat and lifeless,

but be patient and you can watch it grow and mature.

Reply from Daughter:

Oh Dad your so damn, oh, I dunno, lovable! Love you lots and lots.

Regards

Robert

Insects and Angels

by robalmanComment Published at 14:3614:361 comments1 comments12 Visits12 VisitsReport

My daughter is out of town at the moment and I found myself thinking about her and the difficulties she has encountered rencently whilst exploring life.

I can be honest in saying that she has made a few really big mistakes but SHE realises and has her life back on track....for now.

So, yesterday I found myself thinking about her and sent her the following text....

A Butterfly spreads it's wings just like A Daughter to experience the world and the wind pushes it a little off course until it gets strong enough to fly on it's own. Love always Daddy.xoxoxoxo

And I got the instant reply I needed....................."Love you always"

Life can be so simple some times.

Cheers all.............Robert
