I  a mother of  two wonderful boys who are now 21 and 20. I am 52, trained in Visual Art Education, Feng Shui, Reiki III and I understand and teach people about energy. I love teaching children to access their power. I have written and self published a book, based on my knowledge, for teenagers called Drive the Genie Express - A Do It Yourself Guide to Maximise Life. See www.kids-network.info  - members - Robyn. The book is about understanding yourself and tapping into your power. My son Jacob (20) is the model for the drawings. He is the one with his arm out in the Testing Photos for Manners as New Age Tools in my Advice section. I have been married to my best friend and soul mate for over 25 years but we have know each other for 40 years. We have different names by choice and our boys have my surname as their middle name - something that is popular now but was unusual back then. His name is Geoff and he is a Building Designer see www.hipages.com.au/professional/28587 .

I am very impressed with the way our boys have blossomed and grown over the years. We have used a positive parenting style, which really pushes the positives in life, for their benefit and our own. Consequently the boys have won national titles in a variety of sports and have gone on to be responsible working men who live life to the max.. Life was not without it's difficulties for us but we pushed the boundaries in many alternative ways and have reaped the rewards of our mamoth efforts. I have limitations with my mobility now as a result of an accident but I feel I have so much to share to help mothers and children so I do what I can. I am a founding member ...

My Dice Have Rolled Again!

Comment Published at 02:4302:430 comments0 comments11 Visits11 VisitsReport
The dice have rolled and my son is leaving tomorrow not Christmas. He got all his tools, ordered his trailer, we helped him get all his accounting and license done to be a Contract Carpenter. He shifted his girl friend from Sydney to Newcastel where she managed to get a great job. He was planning on moving at Christmas time and then he said in four weeks time as work runs out then. He rang a contacct in Newcastle on Monday and that man rang me yesterday, flustered because he couldn't get my son on his mobile. He is working in a concrete bunker style building - so no signal. The man was nice but he wanted my son straight away. I got a good 'feeling' about this man so that is good. But after 22 years he is leaving and we, hubby and I, are really feeling it. I have to honour my emotions and do my gratitude walk through our 22 years. It may take a while but we will be fine. Thanks to Minti Mums treasure your time with your kids. L&L Robyn

Blown Away Again - Youth Connect and request for my journey in a book.

Comment Published at 03:3003:300 comments0 comments6 Visits6 VisitsReport

I attended a meeting called Youth Connect in our counil today. The organisor was especting about 12 people but we ended up with closer to 50. So many wonderful people all meeting together, joining forces to help our Youth. We all stood up and introduced ourselves. I mentioned Minti and the Congratulations Clay said to pass on to our community. There will be more caring people plug in to this site and it now linked officially to the Great Lakes Communty - building closer and stronger communities.     To top that off I was asked to write a book and have it all done by a ghost writer about my experiences. OH! MG!  I said no and they were prepared for that too - saying I could do the whole story  without any real names mentioned and under another another name as the writer. That was the only way I would do it. It has always been my dream to do it  but it was in the too hard basket even when a few doctors (anti-medication ones)asked me to do it.  Now I can with no hidden costs and remain anomymous. So happy i could cry. Love to all Oon Minti

She has done it - investigated electromagnetic pollution and created a project that protects children

Comment Published at 16:5016:500 comments0 comments6 Visits6 VisitsReport
I have been blown away by a young one that I have mentored! She asked to join the New Age group associated with helping children - she joined. She asked  for some ideas to help kids and she acted on one of the most difficult areas possible. AND she has come up with a fully tested product that realigns childrens brains into harmony and protects them from electromagnic pollution. She is 17.  She has fully investigated the desynchronisation of the brain due to sensitivity and provides massive amount of proof. WOW!

Yahoo! Celebration Time - he has made it

Comment Published at 19:5419:545 comments5 comments15 Visits15 VisitsReport

Today is the last day of  Son 1's apprenticeship. Tomorrow he is a fully qualified Carpenter! Yeah!!!!!

From trial and tribulation, fights with schools, teachers, people and systems - we believed in him!  We believed the our HN son would be a successful person and he is in so many ways. Not only has he made it (when the odds stacked against him)  with his job but he is gentle, kind, loving, jovial and knows how to laugh at himself. We get heaps of praise because he takes the time to talk, smile and wave  to everyone. He goes out of his way to help others who are 'different' by being a friend. Hey even the School Captain included him in his farewell speech. He said and a special thanks to my friend 'D' for being a good friend and teaching me how to enjoy life and be a kid. He has done advanced driver training and the one major accident he had (not his fault) - in the split second that it  required he remembered the training, checked the road ahead and swerved. He took out the whole front engine of their Commadore. The police congratulated him because if he didn't swerve two would surely be dead. They pulled out in front of him and did a U turn on a 70 km road. AND his lovely girlfriend is stopping over tonight to help celebrate AND he is cooking for us even though I offered. So I am getting him the biggest rasberry cheescake with Congratulations on top!  Never give up - you really don't know how much you can achieve. I am haviong bubbly tonight Hooray,
