Me and My Family

An oldie but a fave :)
An oldie but a fave :)

I have three gorgeous children, Jessee almost 15 is my only daughter, and Riley and Harrison are 12 nd 10.

I have been happily divorced for over 9 years now, we currently have share care of our children which is nice.

My son Riley was diagnosed just over a year ago with PDD-NOS (on the Autism Spectrum), ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder) and ADHD so he has been a major struggle for me in the past especially during the times that I had full-time care of the kids. He just started high school and has been so much happier.

I am about to begin my Family Day Care business from home again shortly, can't wait as I'm so excited and just love the work.

Oh, and I have recently discovered that I am pregnant, holy cow, very unexpected and totally unplanned as the father wants nothing to do with us and expected me to have an abortion ;(  I  just couldn't do it so now I have to live with my mistake and consequences but I'm so very happy to be having another bub and can't wait to tell my kids about it..

Asperger's Struggle

Comment Published at 18:3518:350 comments0 comments103 Visits103 VisitsReport

Hi all,

I'm really struggling with my 11 year old son Riley. He has only recently been diagnosed with Asperger's. We have had problems with his behaviour since he was two and it's taken this long to get a diagnosis. My other children are suffering at home also, with his meltdowns, rudeness and general selfishness.. Jess is 13 and such a good girl, Harrison is 9 and also good but definately picking up some bad habits from his brother. I am a single parent, their dad lives 4 hours away and visits the kids every second weekend. I have Googled for ever to find a help with regards to making lists, and implementing them as Riley does quite well with lists.. I am a disorganised person naturally which makes is even harder. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

robyn :)
