Hi everyone! well our stay in Perth was great, we left 6am wensday morning and got back Friday morning (except for me getting the flew the evening before we left ) we took the kids to underwater world which they thought was awsume! but wow its expensive yeesh. we then went for lunch at sizzlers yum!. after lunch we went to visit my cousin who lived around the corner from were we had lunch. was good to catch up, but pitty i wasn't feeling all the best. we had originally planned on stying for dinner but we were all tired so decided to only stay for a cuppa. my sinuses were aching and i felt groggy from the flew. then we went back to our room were we were staying. the next day we dropped 4 of our 6 children of at day care for the day, so we could go out and spend the day together ( well we still had 2 of our children with us, but our son was haveing an oncology apointment later that day and i still can't leave our youngest with anyone yet, (shes 18 month old)i just don't want to leave her with anyone, she still feels too small for me to leave with anyone) anyway so we had a lovely day and my cold was starting to go away. we took our son into the hospital for his check up, then headed of to pick the rest of our kids up. they were cooking indian food for dinner were we were staying yummy! so we had a couple of drinks and the kids played outside on the play equipment while we sat back and relaxed hehe. then we left early the next morning and were home 3 1/2 hours later at 10am Friday. but now hubby has gone back up to Perth again this afternoon (left about 2 hours ago) he is going up for his trainer assesor course, and will be back tuesday evening. wow we have been buisy hehe anyways i'm back to work tomorrow so not much is happening now except that and some more house work. i want ot get the fridge cleaned, the pantry cleaned and tidied, and the rest of the washing folded and put away before i go to bed tonight. i've got some extra activities planned for the kids tomorrow as they go back to school tuesday. i wanna play some special games with them on there last day of school holidays. also hubby has halfway finished our chook pen. he got some more done on it this morning befoe he got ready to leave for perth. the kids are really excited about getting chooks hehe they keep asking when we are going to get them ok well the kids are up now from there naps so i better go |

Well we have child care training comeing up in june in the big smoke, so i have been trying to come up with how i can make it. hubby couldn't get the extra time of as its not on his break, so i gave mum a call and YAY! they are going to come look after the kids for us for 3 days while i'm in Perth. So glad that its sorted as a need this certificate to continue as a family day carer.
It has been an awsume weekend so fare, even though it has been raining non stop its been fantastic. We've had the fire going the last couple of days. our wood fire has a water jacket so we have hot water all the time. so when the sun aint shineing (we have a solar hot water system) we have hot water from our wood fire. we cook everything on it, and it has an oven also which cooks perfectly, so we havn't needed to use the gas stove for days.
Today we spent the day watching movies its been great . i have been enjoying myself so much since hubbby got home, not that i don't enjoy myself anyway but its been such a treat to have him home so much we also have been looking into getting another water tank to put next to our other one for over flow. one place was the best! they have a 106,000 ltr water tank in zincaloom H2230 with a 20 year warranty for $6500 in gst and instalation whcih is by fare the cheepest and best. he said that we need to order it fast as the prices are about to go up due to increase in costs to make the tanks inc travel costs. i noticed all the other places have already put up there prices and this bloke said they were due to put theres up the end of next week. anyway so he's comeing round to chat to us about were to put it and to get us to fill in the order form ect, i can deffinately see us getting it filled this winter. winter hasn't even started yet and we already have heaps of water yay!.
On excersise front.. hehe well i've only worked out twice in the last week and a half lol so i'm thinking i might set the alarm clock and get up earlier than everyone else and do it then. i really enjoy the time to myself and how good i feel after i work out, so to me its worth the extra effort. plus i am trying to increase the amount of push ups i can do, and that won't happen if i don't do it reguarly. well dinner is just about cooked so i'm of to dish it up. i hope everyone is haveing a great weekend |

I was recently thinking that maybie its not such a great idea to have all our family's names here on minti, or anywere on the internet for that matter. Its probably not safe as alot of people come on here that don't have the same intention as i do or any of my other minti friends who just come on here to share and chat with other mums like myself. Alot of you probably already realised that, but i guess i just never thought about it till now. So i have deleted tham all and just put our ages and gender instead.
Well its raining down here yay!! its been raining alot lately actaully. It started raining again yesterday and hasn't stopped, so we are pretty rapped about that, especially since we are on rain water here. it not only filled out water tank but its filling up our dams too which is great. hubby is at elders at the moment picking up chicken wire for our chook pen so i am super rapped about that. hubby has already picked up all our timber this morning from the auction ready to build our goat shelter and chook pen. We are probably going to get it built either tomorrow or sunday, but will probably take a few days to finish them both anyway. We are going to perth next week for a few days so we are all looking forward to it, i was speaking to my cousin yeaterday who told me she took her kids to the maze up there and that it was really good. so we are planning on takieng the kids there too. well all the kids are napping at the moment but are due to wake up soon so i better get of here and go do something |

Yesterday the weather was really great, so we decided to take the kids to eyres park in albany for the day. i packed a picnic lunch and we all had a great time. it was really nice to get out and enjoy the weather with our whole family, all 8 of us, which dosn't happen often as 4 of our 6 kids are in full itme school and hubby works away alot. i just can't believe how quickly the time fly's by though, its kinda freaky. we stayed at the park for a couple of hours then had a look round at the auction for timber. we found some packs of timber that we could use for our goat shelter and chook pen for half the price of what they cost from bunnings, so rob is going back into albany on thursday to pick the timber up. then we went and looked around at all the camping places that have camper trailers ect. we are going away camping in canarvon for 2 weeks in october so we wanted to have a look at what it would cost to get the rest of the gear we would need. when we got home we decided we are going to rent a camper trailer instead, with built in kitchen ect and take our tent for the kids. it will cost us $600 for two weeks to hire everything we need, and thats everything, then aprox $30 day for a powered tent sight with ensuit, so all up $1140 for a 2 weeks holiday. it would cost us like $10,000 to $20,000 to purchase a camper trailer we would like for the trip. with the camper trailers they can carry 60 ltrs of water with hand pump, 3 big jerry cans, all your tools and everything like that. i guess we could just get one more tent but then we would also have to get the fridges for our food, cooking top and lots of other things that all add up. its works out cheeper to just hire everything for the two weeks we are away. also then we can get agood idea of the things we do actually need and the things we don't really need for when we do buy everything. anyway after that we had a bbq for tea which was yummy, then we just kicked back and relaxed. today is my day of work so hubby, myself and the kids might head down the beach depending on the weather. i'm also going to give the visitor centre in town a call and see if any of the porongarup walks have re opened. the last time we went walking a few of them were closed. anyway i'm of to give the kids breaky now, i hope everyones haveing a great day |

Well we went out to pick up our tent and things from my parents house today, along with our two eldest children who have been staying with grandma and grandad since tuesday (so cute hehe) anyway mum and dad told me that i had been made executtive of there will!! because i am the eldest of us three kids and the most resposible, then they told me were the will was kept ect. it was a bit of a shock at first, but i am so glad that mum and dad think that hiley of me that they would entrust me with it all. but i guess that is pretty common, no doubt alot of minti members have been entrusted as the exectutive fo there parents wils as who else wopuld they get to do it lol.
so anyway not much else has happened. hubby and i have agreed on were we are going to put our goat shelter and the chook run, so that will get started on next week. hubby has 4 weeks of from work which is awsume!! yay! so we will get alot done, and be able to do more things as a family. we will be purchaseing a milking goat or 2 in the next 2 weeks, which is gonna be great. i have been doing alot of reading but its really very simple anyway, mum and dad also gave us some good pointers on a few things today also. hubby is still watching telli at the moment and my eye sight is getting blury so i think i'm gonna head of to bed. night guys |

Hubby got home yesterday at about 2pm then we loaded the kids into the car and headed out to mums and dads. my brother was there and his girlfriend, along with some friends of mums and dads. we all had a great time, and the kids had a blast. there were no other kids there though as my other brother and his wife and kids didn't come out, but they had alot of fun anyway just playing together. we managed to get to bed by midnight hehe always ends up being a late night but so worth it. we brought a mattress this time and our pillows to put in our tent, so i actually slept!! its a miracle hehe every other time i've been in a tent at mums and dads i havn't slept, always it was too uncomfortable lol. anyway the kids woke up early yesterday morning as usual so i took kimberly for a walk with me on mums and dads farm. we found heaps of figs yummy! so i picked a couple of bags to take home. we went back to the house and we all had breaky, then headed home. our two eldest are still at mums and dads and we will pick them up on saturday when we pick up our tent. the kids love staying at grandma and grandads lol so cute. we always buy them glow sticks for the stay and they love them. we can also see were they are at night lol.
well today I'm working, i have my 2 extra kids and its thursday so that means its playgroup today. after renee is dropped of around 8.30am i'm heading of to pick up chad on the way through mount barker then of to albany to meet up with the other family day carers for playgroup. my 17 month old is staying home with dad today as shes been driveing me a little nuts lately. so i am just takeing my 3 year old and my 2 day care kids. wow its raining again!! it was raining all last night too and i just heard it start up again, its pelting down yay! our tank is already full but this is fanastic, it will fill up our dams yay! ok back to what i was writeing about before it started raining hehe. its my turn this week to bring in a cake into playgroup for us carers hehe i was going to make carrot scones but i'm not gonna have time this morning. i made the mashed carrot last nigt so i'll make them this afternoon for the kids. anyway i better go get organised and ready for the day. hope everyone is haveing a great day. |

today is beautiful, the sun is shineing and its neither too hot or cold, just beautiful. there are birds everywere and the air smells really fresh. i love days like this lol. well its my coffie break lol i need to recharge my batteries for 10 min. the kids are playing happily outside at the moment so thought i would blog about my day so fare. i have 3 extra ones today, one kindy age and 2 toddlers. i've had 2 of my day care kiddies since 6.30am this morning but i have already dropped one of them of to school and will be picking her up later when school has finished, so i guess i have 4 extra today then. anyway so been a very buisy morning, but i love to keep buisy so thats fine. have to go for a drive later to to pick up some red wine for next week when we go to stay over my parents yay! also need to get my ink cartridge filled for the printer. i am really looking forward to going out to mums and dads next week, hubby gets home tuesday and my youngest brother will be there, but i think i have already said that in my other blogs hehe oops! just excited as i havn't seen him for months. also i'm looking for a "saanen milking goat" at the moment, not looking to purchase one just yet but want to go have a look at one and have a chat with the pople who care for them. have been reading a bit and been getting info from mum but just wanna have a look at what type of shelters other people have for there milking goats. i have already printed of a milking stand diagram or whatever you call it, just instruction i guess to build one lol of ther internet so hubby is going to build it on his holidays hehe i am so lucky. |

Had a really big today, i am surprised i don't feel tired (will probably be feeling tired by the end of this blog lol) so anyway i had my 2 kids and my 2 day care kiddies, so 4 kids under the age of 3 lol (nothing unusual anyway but hadn't taken all 4 of them food shopping before lol ) we went to playgroup in albany this morning and met up with the other family day carers which was fun as always. then we went to coles to do some food shopping. it was a little difficult as only thomas could walk really lol so i had 2 in the trolley, kim in the seat so really 3 in the trolley and my 3 year old walked along side. didn't fit much shopping in lol. so anyway decided to the do the rest of the shopping after the kids got home from school and my day care kids had gone home. so once we got home and renee was picked up i drove into town and dropped chad of at his mums then went to the shops with all my kids. believe it or not its actually easier to go shopping with my 6 kids, as only one of mine can't walk than go shopping with 4 kids with only 1 that can walk lol as you can imagine. anyway so the kids have all had dinner now and are heading to bed shortly. i am then going to sit down have dinner and a nice cold beer yummy. can't stay up late though as i have renee comeing at 6.30 am tommorrow, her dad will be dropping her of before work eek! luckily i don't do 6.30am starts too often. |

This is a site that i am registered with, here in australia as a family day carer. if you are looking for day care in australia this is the easiest way to find it. all licensed centres are registered on there, so you don't have to go searching though all your phone books or chamber of commerce books. i never knew about it till now and just thought it might be of help to some people. |

YAY!! we had solid rain all of sunday going through to monday morning so our tank is full. its wonderful its not even winter yet. our rain water tank is 92,000 litrs so now we are deffinately considering putting a second over flow tank in soonish. we had also recenlty been looking into the black water systems which are fantastic! from what i've read. the difference between grey water and black water is that black water is sewage water also. with the black water systems they turn all the water from the house including toilet water into pure class A drinking water, its fare better than tap water apparantly (though we would not use it to drink lol) but we would use it for irrigation and pump it back into the house for our toilets and laundrey for sure. that would mean we would double our water capasity. it is very low maintance and uses no chemicals. by the end o f the year western australia (which is always slower on these kinds of things) wil have aproved it to be pumped back into your house for usuage. its not cheep but $10,000 fully fitted and includes all irrigation, if you think about it thats really cheep considering it has a life time warranty, uses no chemicals and doubles your water. well lots happening today, not working but i'm of this morning to go see mum. have to drop the kids at the bus stop then heading around to mums. have to drop our tent of and mattress ect for next week! yay!! rob gets home next week YAY!! thursday to be exact! and we are going round to mums and dads to stay the night. my brother and his girlfriend are also comeing down YAY! and they will be staying the night at mum sand dads also so i can't wait. havn't seen jason my little brother for ages (though eh si not little and he makes me feel like a midget when i stand next to him) he is so funny i really like him. anyway i gotta go and finish getting organised |
