This post is from from my other blog here Though it is commonly known that the Melbourne Cup is also a fashion event, what with the beautiful dresses and the large extravagant hats, where did this tradition within the famous event of the Cup come from?
The first Fashion on the Field competition was held in 1962 to encourage females back to the racecourse. So now women flock in their frocks to Flemington and to one of Melbourne more famous fashion parades. |

This post is from from my other blog here With the great annual event of the Melbourne Cup looming, it brings to mind the icon of Phar Lap.
This amazing horse came in the Great Depression where half of the workforce were pushed unwillingly into unemployment. He was claimed as the best race-horse in the world and has been a proud Australian symbol and icon ever since.
After barely escaping death from being shot at by gangsters in 1930, Phar Lap died in 1932. ...

This post is from from my other blog here With the technology or the mobile phone swooping in over the past decade and taking over as the main way of communication through technology, it’s not a surprise that it has become a concern for security risks.
Some of the main concerns that worry people about their mobile phones are:

This post is from from my other blog here A question mark is commonly used in web design as a symbol implying that extra information is close at hand. Often associated with Frequently Asked Questions areas in websites, the question mark clearly informs the viewer that an answer is nearby. Why not incorporate the ‘?’ symbol into a button design and use it to highlight areas on your site that provide answers to questions.
Sometimes a simple symbol - turned into a web graphic - can be more effective than using an image. Webdings and other fonts that use icon style images also look great! |
