Yay...I will FINALLY get my ultrasound...!!!

by sealsista72Comment Published at 23:5323:531 comments1 comments6 Visits6 VisitsReport
Today I went to my GP for my pregnancy check up, and to get my referral for my Level 2 ultrasound.  I am having it on the 4th of July at 11:00 and it's at the hospital where I was born,  how cool!!! The last time I went there was for my eldest son to get a dental x-ray.  I am hoping that my Mum and younger sister can come along to the ultrasound also.  I don't think my Mum has been to any of my ultrasounds before, so it would be great if she can see it.  I think she definitely deserves to as she has already knitted me two shawls and an outfit, and she's going to knit another one soon too.

The GP also gave me a great letter for my Housing Department transfer application, but I still don't like my chances.  It's worth a shot anyway, I know that it would be VERY difficult for me to find a place I want in the private rental market, considering I have two dogs and and  two cats, and will have five children by the end of the year.   I know what they can be like.  Not to mention how expensive it would be to rent one privately anyway

Doctor's appointment

by sealsista72Comment Published at 23:3123:312 comments2 comments11 Visits11 VisitsReport
Today I had an appointment with the midwife AND the doctor and surprisingly, things weren't too bad...except for the fact that I was there for three hours and fifteen minutes!!!

OH well...it was worth it in the end, the doctor gave me a quick ultrasound so he could see the baby's heartbeat and he said, "it's a lively one!!!" And don't I know it...sometimes it feels like the baby is trying to escape!!! The doctor also asked whether I wanted to know the gender and at the time I really didn't, but now I am sort of thinking that I would like to know...even though I know there is a slim chance that they could be wrong...

Anyway, I called the hospital to ask if I could find out whether the doctor had wrote it down somewhere and they never do as it's only a guess really, they are NEVER 100% sure, so it's never documented until the baby is born.  It was good that I called as I have missed my Level 2 ultrasound and I would have totally missed out on it as they assumed I had already had it!!!  I can't wait for that.  Hopefully I will have photos to show people as my last ultrasound was put onto disc and I still don't know how to print the photos out.

Also the doctor said that I am VERY unlikely to go past MY date of 7th of November.  He said I am more likely to have the baby near the end of October or VERY early November...YAY!!! I so hope he's right. He thinks that my last period was unlikely to be a complete one and that's why I am likely to be earlier than what I thought.  Earlier is good!!!

A beautiful quote from Drew Barrymore

by sealsista72Comment Published at 03:4903:490 comments0 comments6 Visits6 VisitsReport
Hello everyone,

As I was cleaning up my computer desk, I was looking through the April 16th edition of Who magazine, and I found the most beautiful quote from Drew Barrymore, and loved it so much that I wanted to share it.

"I just wish more of us would stop for a minute...pick some flowers.  go kiss your boyfriend in the dark at a movie.  Go hug  your child.  Celebrate what's beautiful in your own life."
