Had a great week!!!

This week has been fantastic.  Busy but really good!!!

I finally received my child support arrears which I thought I would never get and I used them yesterday to pick up the boys' Christmas and birthday lay bys.  I made a silly mistake of putting Nathan's and Daniel's birthday stuff on the BIG lay bys and their birthdays are next month ..so I had to pick them up early, I had no choice!!! It's all good now though, except that I think stuff is missing from my lay by again.  They are going to think that I am making it up this time, last time I had a CD missing, and this time it's a PS2 game and part of my baby's present.  I just hope they believe me - both laybys came to over $800 in total, so if they are nasty to me, I just won't shop there anymore.

On Thursday night, I assembled the new stroller and the highchair.  I did it all by myself and I was determined!!! The pram instructions weren't very good at all, but I still worked it out!!!

Now I am just about to get the rest of the baby stuff sorted out so the rest of the pregnancy I can rest more.  Ten weeks to go on Monday....I can't believe it's gone so fast!!!

Scary day...

Hello all...

I had a terrible day today...lucky it all ended good, although I still am very scared by the whole thing.

I woke up about 7 this morning, went to the toilet and I wiped out a blood clot. Being that I am only 28 weeks pregnant, I was totally freaked out. I called the hospital and they told me to put a pad on and call them in an hour to tell them what has happened. I didn't manage to call them until nearly nine, but I wasn't bleeding anymore. I told them that even though I wasn't bleeding, I couldn't just stay home and not be concerned about it all, so my lovely friend Louise took me into the hospital to the assessment centre. I got in there and they put the heart monitor on and the baby's heart beat was fine. I wasn't really concerned about it not being alive as the movements never stopped. Then I was given an ultrasound and the doctor saw something that he couldn't account for...he thought it might have been internal bleeding, but he didn't know why or where from or even if that was what it was as the ultrasound machine was old and outdated. After the ultrasound, my lovely friend Libby came to see me which was great because I was feeling quite alone at the time. It's not the best feeling when other pregnant women are there and they have their partners with them and there I am all by myself with no company at all. Thanks Libby!!!

They sent me down to the main ultrasound area to have a more accurate ultrasound and when I got down there, what the previous doctor saw wasn't even there!!! They think it was a uterine contraction, which does sometimes show up on an ultrasound, but then goes away with no trace to be seen.

I am so happy that everything seems okay, but I can't help but worry. Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them???

I am definitely trying to take things easy, but it's quite impossible most of the time because I am single with four boys, and if I don't do most of the stuff, who does...???

I am making myself sit down for another fifteen minutes at least and then I am going to start on making dinner so the boys can go to bed early. At the moment they are being good playing their game boys and DS's.As much as I don't like them playing those games too much, they can be great sometimes, especially now as I don't want a lot of noise at the moment and they can't really go outside as it's way too windy for it to be safe.
