Well hello I haven't blogged since tuesday because I havent had a min to get online since then the renovations were all going well the schedual TIGHT!!!! but we were happily plodding along when we removed the tongue and grove in the kitchen and some boarding we'd assumed was just covering pipes......oh how wrong can you be?
It revealed the original joist supporting the upper level of the house had broken ...ok the house was built in 1800 and they used wooden joists but the last bright spark had decided no we wont get a builder in well put a length of 3x2 and wedge it in with a brick....MORONS it was right above our head as we entered the kitchen weve been living here for almost 4 years without a clue it could have gone at any time....what makes me so mad is that this couple covered it up payed good money to add a professional attic extention adding more weight and they had kids...and allowed us to carry on non the wiser with a young child it could have killed.
Luckily we have a builder in the family with all the rods to prop the house up asap and a concreat joist is now in place thankfully were all fine bobbys a little bruised from falling bricks and the renos delayed a day not good when we need the kitchen back in place by xmas eve to cook for the party xmas day.
Other than that were good Mac's great I think Daddy being at home's suiting him everyday he does something new yesturday he learned to say dirty! and understands now dirty means dont touch bless I think thats his 10th word I really sould be listing them hes amazing us with his speach all the time, today nothing to great but he puts his finger in his mouth to mk a popping sound we have no idea were he got it from but its so cute, now just to teach him to pout for a kiss the "jaws" impressions getting scarier by the min with all his teeth lol.
And finally me ...Im huge its a nightmare trying to get rd the house with all the kitchen cupboards in my living room and tiny weeny lill gaps to get through its not much fun...if only I could breath in...hehe
So the mad house is still in progress and I hope to get on at some point before xmas but if not I hope you all have a ball!!!!
