Bub has been very energetic lately, perhaps the cooler weather is not tiaring him out unlike the heat, and so everyday I clean what appears to be the debri from a small but destructive tornado. I am very un happy with him taking off his nappy to wee on my floor I have tried to teach him potty but still he is far too busy playing to sit down for 5mins!. I very much feel like tying him to the potty this way he cannot make a mess nor can he accidently wee on my floor! Anyways must dash as bub is trying to plug the cord back into the wall he just pulled it out from I did say NO! but he does not listen. |

Well as you may have read in my lounge bub is bow legged and has been refered to a pedatrician for further examination and treatment. Sadly however when I tried to book an appointment with the local kids dr in our small regional city I found out he is book solid till August! He apparently works in our town and in Perth! I think its an outrage that we cant have a peaditrician in our small city full time, he obviously has the work arrr what kind of health care are we getting .... ****! if a parent left a child with bow legs for that long by choice we would have family and childrens on our tail but because the dr is booked it's ok?? Anyway I had my venting session feel free to comment or share your experience. |

Well hubby is working out of town and so we follow him every week and stay in a different town it is a large financial burden and we don't know how long it will last (him working) how do other families cope in this situation, is it really worth working? either we are together or we are apart and paying rent in two places why?? well House 1 is very affordable given the current rental crisis in Wa and place no 2 is non permanent and uncertain so if you have been or are in this situation please write your comments happy mothers day to all mothers for tomorrow!! |

Well spending all my time with bub has helped us to bond more and he will even kiss me (sometimes not always when I ask him) he gives the best kisses and when he gives them away coz he is happy and I didn't ask is the best! My little boy is growing up I wish I could keep him small forever he is such a joy,his kiss is when he comes up to you mouth open (I don't know where he got that from but he can't pucker up yet so it's the next best thing I guess) and then gently plants a wet one on the cheek! Do all little kids learn to kiss the same way?? If your bub is kissing please write a comment I would love to hear other parents stories. |

Ok I have now gotten bub into routine wow it's great I never knew the benifets I actually thought it was just for uptight parents but my bub is going to bed and having one nap a day at certain times and he won't complain about them!.
We have been doing potty for bout 2 weeks now and it is difficult to catch him but he has done 2 poo's and 2 wee's in his potty which I am so thrilled about he has had accidents but he knows he does wee's and poo's as he has been running around in jocks he look's soo cute! oh and they are less expensive than pull up's (*Note cheap babylove pullup's rip down the side easily!) Anyways he will be a potty pro in no time woo hoo! |

Have just sat with bub for a while with him on his potty, I can't say it is going too well! I have no idea what his routine is I just seem to change his nappy when it looks droopy at the back (as it's drooping from weight). He was quiet good on the potty sitting happily as there were things around to touch, I have to wonder if this is the right time tho as he can't talk yet, and I wonder if he knows when he is going in his nappy. I may need to give it a while but to others not knowing his age and only seeing his size, they think he should be potty training by now. He is a tall kid with his mum's stocky build and is as cute as a button but it makes him appear older to others.
I have researched potty training on minti but it is just tips and hints for what worked with their child and most of them are for if your child can talk to you with some understanding of what your on about. My little one is nearly 17mths tho and I feel he should be progressing further. Mind you as a first time mum when he was really little I thought he was blind my Nana told me he can focus better at 6 weeks old (she was right he is not blind), then later I tried pushing him along the carpet with lots of tummy time trying to get him to crawl (poor kid started walking before 12mths) so I guess I will figure out the potty training phase with him in time as well. |

Well a new year has once again arrived and is rapidly becoming old (Like me ) I just hope that this year will see Oz with more rain than the last few years. I was going to make a new years resolution but didn't I think having no resolution to aim for means I can't fail if I loose weight or not it wont matter. I also think this means less stress because the only time we really remember our resolutions are at the begining of the year when we make them or at the end when we madly try to accomplish them. See less stress it is impossible to acomplish a goal like loosing weight when undoubtidly you do all lunches and evening meals and then family gatherings food again who can resist food made by dear old mum? I think if I was to do a resolution this year it would be to make sure my family are happy and healthy! Who could ask for anything else really? plus it is being acomplished everyday. |

Well the busiest day of the year is over once again, my child is all tuckered out from fun and Im all tuckered out from work relaxing is not the word! My childs second christmas ever and able to unwrap presents he was just not interested while my nana who reckons christmas is for the children wanted more presents, she did enjoy unwrapping her gifts this year! I hope evryone had an enjoyable christmas day. We certainly did although a little hectic bub loved the day and as the youngest on both sides and our first and only at the moment we realised that there are more years ahead and magic (santa). |

Well my cute little baby has turned into an active, exploring, temper tanty chucking monster! Ok thats normal at toddler age but he has sooo much energy to go with it! I have been taking him for walks him walking too just to wear him out but when he tries to wander away I pick him up and carry him a little ways well he hates it no freedom and tosses his body about in my arms whilest screaming as this is just out in the street I worry that people are looking at me as an awful mother when he screams so! Always in a hurry he often falls face forward as he trips going so fast and he now has skin off his nose. I was thinking of a child harness with leash just to keep him safe and close while he keeps his inderpendance with walking (plus tire him out!) but the most cost effective solution around our home is the trusty dog leash! poor kid what other tireing ideas do parents have we have gone swimming and he loves it however this is at the pool and at the moment we don't have the finances to keep taking him there with the little soiling proof nappies they charge for as well. |
