My Recent Gifts

Me and My Family

I am a mother of two boys. I am currently working at ,my youngest son's school.  My husband Kwesi is a Gas Engineer. I am a born-again christian and a have a strong passion for God and my neighbours. I believe in doing onto others what I would like to be done to me. I lost my dad on the 12 of  December 2006 exacly 12 days to my birthday. My mum is doing very well. I am the last of a family of seven. All my siblings are men. I love walking, going to the cinema, eating well (balanced), listening to music and cooking. I also like baking and am always ready to learn. I do believe I am not a perfect mum and welcome suggestions and advice from everyone. Also one never stops learning until you breath your last. My husband Kwesi is also a born-again christian like myself. We were married in September 1999 at Croydon Council.  We go to church every Sunday and by the grace of God we are doers of the word. It is not easy being Christ-like but we alway relay on the Holy Spirit to guide and correct us.  Both boys were delivered through caesarian operations. We have decided not to have anymore. I do hope no one will be bored reading this. Thank you and God richly bless you all

The Magic Words

Comment Published at 04:3604:360 comments0 comments7 Visits7 VisitsReport
Please, Sorry and thank you are words we often find hard to say. But the truth of the matter is it solves a lot of problems. Accepting one's mistake and asking for another's forgiveness is hard to do. I am sure that if the world leaders were able to do this there would be peace. A lot of marriages end in divorce because there is lack of communication and anger that has built up leading to bitterness. If we could only sit down together and have a long talk about what is bothering us in a calm way a lot of marriages would be saved. We need to keep the fire still burning long after we are married. The things that we used to do during courtship should be continued. Telling each other how beautiful or handsome we look. Buying presents, leaving little notes here and there. And we should never forget to say I love you to each other everyday  and last but not the least make sure the sun does not go down on our anger. Thank you

Dogs and Cats Pooh (attacks)

Comment Published at 04:0704:070 comments0 comments16 Visits16 VisitsReport
I am worried about the way owners of dogs allow their pets to foul footpaths and drive ways of their neighbours. Recently I watched a documentary which touched on the suject and also made me aware that dog pooh can cause blindness. A law has already been passed about owners who do not pick up their dog pooh will be fined and yet they are not deterred. Children walking to school step in it and take it into their classrooms and they are asked by their teachers to sit on the carpet. This can easily get on their hands. Also I have realized that cats do not pooh in their own homes but do it in their neighbours backyard. Our little ones are not allowed to play in their gardens for fear they might pick them up. Last but not the least there has been several dog attacks on kids. What can we do as parents to get the attention of parliament to pass a law to stop all these? Thank you
