Me and My Family

Tyler smiling (7 weeks)

My name is Stacey, I am 22 years old, I am engaged to my partner of nearly 6 years, Daniel (24).  We have 2 boys together Jordan and Tyler.  We live in South Australia, Daniel is working as a meat inspector at a pig abbatoir, while I am a stay at home mum.

Jordan was born 16th December 2005, I was due on the 9th and ended up being induced on the 16th and he was delivered naturally after 2 hr 25 min. He was 8lb 3oz.  He is a very active kid he loves anything sport which is great! he plays golf in our backyard, and loves playing t-ball and anything really.  But he is also happy to sit and watch tv or play inside. He is rough and loud just like boys are!! lol  He was lactose intolerant till he was 18 months old and at 11 months he started getting ear infections so he ended up having tubes in his ears which was a life saver. He started talking more and sleeping better.  He likes to go to our local playgroup which is fantastic, and the playground and our new scallywags play cafe.

Tyler was born 16th March 2008, I was also due on the 9th and ended up going into labour naturally a few hours before being booked in for an induction on the 16th.  He was delivered naturally after 1 hr 45 mins.  He was 9lb 2oz.  We are still getting to know Tyler, but he is very smiley and likes to "talk" to you when he is full and content. Like most babies....  I am so far successfully breastfeeding him as I was unable to do with Jordan.

My hobbies mostly just include surfing the internet, Minti, Facebook and Myspace, I also do a lot of ebaying....  We moved to the Murraylands ...

what a week

Comment Published at 00:4200:422 comments2 comments9 Visits9 VisitsReport

Ok I've never blogged before and I don't even know if anyone will read it, but I have had a crazy week.  We went to Mt Barker on Saturday to see our friends Mark and Barb, we spent the day there it was freezing outside but they had a lovely warm fire going.  We got home about 10:30 that night I had to tell Daniel we will go home after this drink (his drink not mine) as he and Mark like a drink together.   So we got home and Tyler slept wonderfully for me but I couldn't sleep as I had a headache and panadol wasn't working.

Then Sunday Mark and Barb came down to see what the wii is like cause they were thinking of getting one, Daniel said he felt sick, he thought it was a hangover ( they did drink quite alot) so we thought nothing of it.  Tyler was cranky all day and we had to fight with Jordan to get him off the wii he is obssessed so we don't let him play it very often.  we all went to bed and again I had a headache wich turned into a toothache as I have a wisdom tooth that needs to come out.  it then progressed to a fever which was extremely uncomforable, than about 11pm Daniel got up and began vomiting, and had the runs. we both slept in fits all night, and Tyler woke up quite frequently aswell.

Daniel was then sick all day Monday which he was supposed to work and has been sick ever since, I started with the bug on Tuesday, not as bad as Daniel but I still had it.  So Daniel has had 3 days off work and has to have another which is hard at the moment with all the bills and the trips we have to make.  Tyler has been cranky all week, and Jordan has thank god not gotten the bug (touch wood he doesn't)  then this morning I woke up with a blocked milk duct!!

I had no idea what to do but as usual Toosh helped me, she's my saviour, everytime I have had a problem she's there with the answers and advice,, if it wasn't for toosh I wouldn't still be breastfeeding.

So as you can imagine tempers and my emotions are running high in our house, (which is reasonably small) we are in each others way I can't take the kids to playgroup, neither of us feel strong enough to get too far away from the toilet.  Why when it happens does it all happen at once?

well for my first blog I did a lot of whinging lol. I can't wait for it all to be over and to be able to go for our weekend trip back home and spend our goddaughters 1st birthday with her. I also can't wait to see my mum and have a break from the kids. She loves them and will definately give me a break.  But in the meantime I'm hoping my boys don't get the bug, and that this blockage clears up cause it is really painful.  :)
