Been another great weekend, I finally got to spend some quality time with my daughter..Shes been spending most of the week with my parents for her Easter Break while I've been at work. So it was good to have time to ourself..
We started our day off by having breaky, then dancing around being silly whilst doing my housework (another great way to shed some weightloss) Then we headed downstairs where I'm teaching her to ride without any training wheels on.
She fell off about 6-7 times before finally riding by herself around and around the pavement....I was so proud to watch her take another big step towards growing up and becoming a more independant person...And I must admit I shed a tear or two or more lol don't know why just found myself emotional.
Anyways, she rode around for another 10 mins or so before she started getting a bit too confident, riding faster and faster...round and around in circles...I was watching the circles get tighter and tighter whilst I warned her to be careful and to slow down otherwise she will hurt herself...she said "But look mummy, I'm riding by myself" she was really proud of herself too.
2 mins later after pre-warning her to be careful, she turned the bike too sharply and ended up over the handle bars and landed on her knees and one hand...I rushed over to see if she was bleeding or badly hurt..No blood that I could see, so I dusted her off and put her bike away ready to head upstairs when she started screaming..I was like oh no whats going on..she held her arm out and pointed to her wrist...where I saw her wrist was bent backwards and really stiff...she couldn't move her fingers at all so I thought oh crap its broken...
She was rushed to hospital, and seen immediatley by the doctor who gave her panadol etc and was able to get shakira to stretch her fingers out and twist her wrist around and it straightened out completely ..I was so amazed..
She went for her x-rays and ended up having a cast on her left arm which she has to leave on for 10 days then get it changed to a fibreglass one. She was so brave the whole time I was so proud of her...She loves the attention and every one signing it. Shes a strong girl like her mummy and will try her bike again when shes well enough.
