Lonely Saturday night

Comment Published at 03:2703:277 comments7 comments67 Visits67 VisitsReport

Hubby is at an interstate business conference. Son is staying with Nanna and Pa. I'm home all alone with only the cat for company.

I'm feeling a bit depressed and mildly suicidal. It's way too late to ring any of my friends. Every day is a struggle for me so I wonder if I shouldn't just give up on the struggle of all the tomorrows and end it tonight?

Oh no!

Don't ever think of ending your life!! You think it'll end your suffering and loneliness, but that means you're also ending the source of happiness for other people, especially your son.

Hang in there and please, please, consider getting professional help. Depression DOESN'T go away on it's own, though it may subside sometimes, it is still there. Take care of yourself!!

Thanks Deb.

It's been a tough night. Been talking to my doctor for the last half hour, still feeling pretty bad but going to make it through till tomorrow.

Cat prefers fish or chicken but I've put plenty of food out for him so he wouldn't need to start on me for a while.
