Dullsville

Well, if there's anything that getting into blogging has shown me, it's that I lead a really boring life! My life is really pretty monotonous. That's not to say I'm not content. I'm pretty simple, and as long as we're all relatively happy (I had a huge fight with my teenager yesterday and I'm still recovering) and have a roof over our heads, I'm good to go. Unfortunately, it doesn't make for very interesting reading! Ah well...

My house is now full of boxes though. My mother is moving out here with us and her stuff got here already. She's coming next week. Yes, she's going to live in the same house with us. It should be fine. We shared a house for about a year before we moved out here because we sold ours fast and moved in with her. Luckily my mom's pretty unobtrusive and quiet, so it's usually fine. We have our run-ins of course, but overall we get along. This is the best arrangement for both of us for the time-being as she figures the only way she can get out of the dinky town where she's at is this way, and we're at a point right now where splitting the costs of living works out well for us, too.

Right now I'm ready for her to get here, though. She has a lot of stuff!! There are boxes everywhere! And we didn't put as many in the garage as I had hoped because my husband's cousin who is staying with us (that's another story) finally bought a car, then proceeded to wreck it the first day out. Nothing bad, but the driver's side view mirror got ripped off and the driver's side window broke, so he wants it in the garage in case it rains. Until he can get it fixed I guess it'll be in the garage.

I am enjoying the piano though! My mom has been working on learning to play (read music really, she plays pretty well by ear) for a few years now and insisted on bringing it. Thankfully, we do have room for that, and I like to dink around on it from time to time. I need to practice a lot though if I want to be decent again. Maybe I'll start trying to.

Well, i think the same thing too so it can make it hard to blog but , thankfully, others aren't as worried about what we write as we are.

Still i think you sound like you have loads on your plate with your Mum coming to stay and all!

Cheers to the daily grind! The coffe that is!

Yeah, that's true. I read other people's blogs and they may not be anything spectacular, but I still read them.  Actually, I don't mind dull compared to the drama going on in some poor people's lives!

I'm off to enjoy that grind!

I think I might beat you on having a boring life. At least you get out of the house! All I ever do is change nappies and make bottles. Not that I'm complaining!

I that my hat off to you for having your mum come and stay, I don't know if I could do that!

Have fun with the piano!

Re: Dullsville

You've GOT to be kidding me!! You just had twins!!! Of course that's all you're doing! If you were out partying too much my opinion of you as a mother would probly drop considerably.

It has gotten me thinking that I could make more of an effort to at least change my routine a bit. I could, y'know, read the newspaper after I check minti. That sort of thing.

Re: Dullsville

Thanx for your p.s. Rue.

I'm beginning to rethink my excitement over the piano, though. The kids are, um, LOUDLY excited about it too.

(I know they'll get over it in a few days... probably.)

Yeah, that sounds about right.  I should just write one blog and repost it everyday. I don't think it would be inaccurate too often!

Hey thanx! The feeling is mutual. I feel like I've connected with you on your sense of humor on a few things you've written, too.

In real life I tend to be pretty sarcastic, which is not always successfully pulled off in the written world of the internet. Gotta watch the words I choose!

That's why I don't blog that much, because despite having a lot to say, I don't have much to talk about.
