My Family consists of my 2 daughters & I ,I am still friends with their father however it's less domestic with just us girls and things seem to work better for us.There is 19 mths between my daughters they are pretty close not that they don't have their catty moments although separate them for two hrs for kindy and it's cuddles & kisses towards each other. Drew my eldest daughter is 5 yrs old and will be attending her 1st yr of school 2009 daunting for any parent I assume however Drew was diagnosed with Autism August 2008 some weeeks before her 5th birthday and the concept of her beggining primary school is both exciting and worrysum for a mother of a child with speacial needs. At first when given Drew's diagnoses I seemed to find myself deep in depression but of late I am handling Drews diagnoses much better being able to take the necessary steps towards making our lives that of a living celebration rather than sinking in isolated darkness. With speech therapy Drew has improved greatly in many area's and myself seeking councilling has giving me strength to believe in my mothering abilities. Ada my youngest daughter has such a thirst for life she's a typical little aries very sociable loves her 3yr old kindy program is fiesty and also very empathetic towards others also very 3 year old, testing boundaries to all their degrees. We also have 2 dogs 1 fluffy cat & 4 goldfish in our family .At times I miss the working world but the love I have for my children exceeds that of the working world when my girls are settled into school I'll get back into the workforce but for now the role off Mom is very inportant to me a job far underpaid and more demanding than any employment I have yet experienced I love being a mom.
