Well we had a incident last night, I had made a pasta bake for dinner and gave it to Nathaniel as he has had it before and i also gave a small amount to Aliya, after she had ate it i have her a bath nd noticed she had a rash under her eye i didnt really think any thing of it as i just thought she had scratched it and then i went to dry her off and noticed she has a rash and welts all over her body, so I rang my sister in law and she came over to make i sure i wasnt over reacting, and she definetly thought something was wrong.

So I called NT health direct and they said obviously she was having an allergic reaction to something in what I had cooked, but she had tried everything in it except the bechamel sauce (lasagne sauce) so they told me to take her up to the hospital, while we were waiting (for 2 hours) the rash started to dissapear so I decided to go home.

When i got home i checked the ingrediants of the bechamel sauce again and the only thing i could see that may have triggered the reaction was that it was manufactured on equipment that processes PEANUTS, so this was the only thing that i could think of that had triggered it. So I have booked an appointment at the doctors to find out if she has a mild allergy to peanuts. So from now until Monday i have to check everything she eats to make sure it isnt manufactured on things that process peanuts, cause i dont want her to have another reaction.

I must say it frightened the hell out of me to see this rash all over her body as it had never happened before, I also had a look on the net for the symptoms of a peanut allergy and had never realised they range from mild which is the symptoms Aliya had and to serious like anaphylatic shock so Im going to be very careful until I see the doc on MOnday, but Ill let you know how I go....

Well i cant believe its nearly christmas, this year has just flown by. Its going to be difficult with the tree this year as nathaniel is at the age where he wants to touvh everything and Aliya is pulling herself up on things and walking holding onto things as well, but we (my partner and I) have decided that the tree will go in the corner of where the couch and table is so they cant touch it, well at least aliya cant. Its so exciting this year as well as Nathaniel is nearly 2 and he is kinda going to understand christmas now, I have been telling him that Santa is coming soon and he is going to bring him lotsa goodies, he doesnt know who santa is but im sure on Christmas day he wont care with all the presents he has, We have bought a few things for them but gotta get Aliya a few more girly things so her room actually starts looking like a little girls room. But im looking forward to december 1st so I can decorate and put the tree up ohhhh i cant wait

Well Aliya has done something exciting today, I gave her Nathaniel's push trolley with blocks in it and she stood up on it and started pushing it around, I was so excited I got the camera and video camera out, but then along came the big brother and told her go away because it was his trolley gosh he is becoming the little bossy boots but im sure as he gets older he will be the protective big brother.

Im hoping we can have christmas at our place this year, each year we have dinner at my partners mum's house and i thought why not do something different at least this way I dont have to run around after the kiddlings telling them 'dont put that in your mouth' or no thats not for kids' Im sure other people have this problem to. But the first thing we have to do is pave the entertaining area as it is pretty much just dirt out there, we have the pavers we just have to get the dirt to lay them on, the the kids can go outside as much as they like as its not really the enviroment for them at the moment.

well this having a blog thing is good i can spill my guts on here and it actually feels good.

Well this is my first ever blog I have written so here I go

I had this urge to re arange things last night and today so I rearanged the lounge room and nathaniel and aliya's bedrooms. When ever you move things around everything seems to look a lot bigger and looks like there is so much more room, the kids rooms look more spacious so there is more room for them to play. Not that Aliya plays in her room much(she doesnt have many toys yet) she would rather follow her brother around to see what he is up to.

I am still waiting for Aliya to get her first tooth(she is 9 months) but nothing seems to be appearing yet, hopefully soon though something will happen. She is alot slower than Nathaniel was he got his first tooth at 5 months. She is getting very clever at pulling herself up onto the couch to stand, I just can't believe how fast she is growing up already. I think it may be the fact that I ahve Nathaniel to run around after and so you dont realise how fast time flies.

Well I think that is all for now hopefully this doesnt bore you to much lol
