If I can be as good a dad as he was I will be happy with myself.

Indeed, Steve Irwin will be sadly missed by us all.  He has left a very vibrant life journey with colourful memories to many  people, a great inspiration of 'embracing life fully while you can'..

I've learned a lot from Steve's TV shows. There is little consolation knowing that he died doing what he loved. I remeber him saying once:

I have no fear of losing my life - if I have to save a koala or a crocodile or a kangaroo or a snake, mate, I will save it. -- Steve Irwin
